Re: Are you a run or pass first team?

i usually am a run first kinda person but if it's not working i'll throw some quick passes just to get some yards. i like controlling the clock and not letting the other team have the ball for too long. my friends get so mad at me when i do that. i tell em "look i'm playing football darn it"!

This is exactly me. I do what it takes to win. If I'm the Patriots or Saints, I barely run. If I'm the Texans, I can run or pass, both have great talent. I was doing a Jaguars before my copy of Madden 12 broke yesterday (was on year five, making my first Superbowl appreance ) and with them, I try to run as much as possible because of Mo Jo, MJD. But we traded for Tebow in the year one offseason, then drafted a quarterback that has progressed to a 94 overall in his third year, and who has taken us to the Superbowl.

I love to run.... Passing comes secondary but it also depends who I play against.

Re: Are you a run or pass first team?

I have a balanced approach, I'm equally talented at both and it prevents my opponent from keying in on anything particular.

Maintaining balance allows me to avoid those INT's where a player "should" be open but either psychic DB's, or super LB jumps lead to a turnover. Nothing more frustrating than clearing out space for an underneath route only to have a DB break off of a deep 1/3 zone while chasing a streak to some guard a 10 yd out from the slot WR.

I always run with the Panthers, so it depends on the personel.

This year I preferred to pass first, but I do keep it balanced. It depends on who your playing too.

I like running to set up the pass. That's why is sucks that the crappy line interaction remains intact for Madden '13. Still buying the game for the myriad of other awesome improvements. And I have confidence that this issue will be fully addressed for Madden '14.

3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.

Re: Are you a run or pass first team?

I prefer to come out in spread sets (3 and 4 wide) to get bodies away from the LOS and the box, throw a bit and come out and run after. Problem for me last year in Madden 12 the redskins QB situation was awful so "easy" completions to open the game became interceptions and incompletions.

I always try to establish the running game first.
