Another reason we need player editing.

In my Dolphins CCM in year 2 its just about the trade deadline so I decide to trade Paul Soliai who I've decided not to re-sign since we already have some depth at DT. I traded for Devin Hester to give us some depth at WR and i'll also have a speedy target since i've developed Steve Smith (Not Panthers Steve Smith) and Chad Johnson into great possession recievers. I get into my first game with Hester vs New England and see both he and Steve Slaton are number 23. No big deal since Slaton is my backup to Reggie Bush ,but it's gonna kill my OCD when he comes into the game, lol. This could easily be remidied if we just had player editing in CCM. God I hope we get it in a patch.

That, plus the fact that they can't get everyone's equipment right. And I'm not talking about armbands or gloves. I'm talking about face masks. I have OCD about that, I guess.

People think we want it to boost players to 99. That's not the case. There's a general number of reasons why edit player is important. To think it's because of one thing is absolutely absurd and ignorant.

I've never edited all of my players to 99. I don't want to do that. I like a realistic game. To have a realistic game, I need to be able to fix the mistakes Madden makes with equipment, and change certain numbers.

I don't care if they leave editing player ratings out of the game. But give me equipment/numbers and possibly positions.

I'm with you brother.

I've signed T.O. and it pains me to see him as #10 when #81 is open.

Also, I like to put my rookie/unproven WR's through the 'initiation' process, having them go from 10-19 numbers then once proven, move them to an 80-89 number.. Just another little thing I like to do in my franchise, Lol.

Its a huge hassle wanting to change a 4-3 team to a 3-4 team too, especially if you're trying to go by schemes to get the best results. I was about to do it, but just said nevermind.

Re: Another reason we need player editing.

EA actually did a surprisingly good job this year on player's equipment/accessories, much better than years past, but like the above comments have stated, I just see no reason to not include the ability to edit these ourselves as well in CCM. Especially with the insanely odd names/equipment of some of the draft class players.

I feel your pain . I did edit ratings but only 4 realism not 2 boost my team and I lowered injury ratings on players as they got injured in real life in order to encourage them to be injured in the game. Another thing that I can't do this year if indeed I can be bothered to continue with CCM
