Drew Brees
Weekly
250 passing Yards - 950xp
24 Completions - 760xp
3 Passing TDs - 1000xp

Season
3500 passing Yards - 1000xp
4000 Passing Yards - 5000xp
4800 Passing Yards - 10000xp

Some Milestones
300 Yard Passing Game - 150
400 Yard passing Game - 500
500 Yard Passing Game - 1000
3500 Yards a Season - 500
4000 Yards a Season - 1000
4500 Yards a Season - 500
4690 Yards a Season - 1000
5000 Yards a Season - 2500

Once He reaches over 19,999 Passing Yards in a career He'll recieve 10,000xp for every ten thousand yards he gains (so at 20,000/10,000, 30,000/10,000) all the way until 70,000 then he gets one last career xp boost at 71839 worth 10,000.

It sounds like in order for development to pay off it should be a player who is starting for you and accomplishing all of his goals on a weekly basis

if it's a player who is riding the bench or part time, your never going to get 50,000 worth of XP back

Hey thank you very much for posting this. I am assuming that Brees has Superstar trait inherited?

Her are my rookie QB Jordan Parks's xp gains

WEEKLIES

250 Passing Yards - 1000XP

24 Completions - 920 XP

3 Passing TD's - 1000

MILESTONES

300 passing yards - 450

400 passing yards - 2000

500 passing yards - 4000

3 TD's - 562

4 TD's - 1125

5 TD's - 4000

SEASONAL

4800 Passing Yards - 20000XP

4000 Passing Yards - 5000XP

3500 Passing Yards - 500XP

So, it seems that the weeklies are very close to each other. Perhaps this might be not affected by Parks being a rookie, but rather by the production grades? Although, Parks is a Rookie, hence his production rate has started from 0, and I believe is up to 36 at the moment. I would assume Brees would have higher production grades after all his years, and yet he gains slightly less XP compared to my rookie. At this point I am going back to the idea that Rookies do earn more xp, and must be related to their senior year college production grades.

The Milestone and seasonal goals seems to be differentiating much more. Highest milestone goals gives about 4 times more XP for Parks compared to Brees. I have no idea what is affecting this, since if both have the superstar trait they should be earning the same amount of xp. Could it be again, the fact that Parks is a rookie, that almost triples his XP gain compared to a Veteran? And yet the seasonal goals are the same. Although in my game Donovan McNabb has the potential to earn same amount of XP as Parks, and Donovan has slow development trait.

The more I get into this the more confused I get.

P.S: Just checked Fitzpatrick's Milestone goals. He earns more XP compared to Brees for milestone accomplishments. I just need a confirmation from you if Brees has Superstar Development trait inherited if possible pleas (Fitzpatrick has quick development trait).

Remember thou, Weeklies are shared goals. In yesterday's radio interview Looman has confirmed that if a backup/rookie is playing about 1/3 of the snaps, they should see that xp gained, assuming they are sharing the same weeklies that week.

I would suggest adjusting your fatigue sliders as well as Auto Sub sliders so that most players can see some playtime on the field.

I assume Brees is a superstar, no upgrade is available for the development trait. these goals are from 1yr in game so Brees is 34, maybe just like youth helps a player gain more xp maybe seniority has the reverse effect??

With some approx math I found out my training netted me about 40% of my seasonal xp, and only the last 60% were affected by the 9% gain. As I've become better at my role, that balance is probably 30/70 now.

Say I make 100k xp in a season, which I doubt I will, 70k will be affected by the 9% gain, netting me a total of.... 6.300xp bonus from the trait. That way it will take roughly 8 seasons for the trait to pay itself off, and only after that will it be bonus xp.

It seems the trait works differently depending on wether you're a coach or a player.
So in your opinion is it a waste of XP to purchase the development trait as a player? If it takes 8seasons to pay itself off you've wasted substantial XP that could have gone towards faster improvement right?

I don't purchase it, ever. I feel it creates greater diversity and gives the feeling of having a true "star" player. I try to work with what I have. Besides, building a team full of potential star players would bloat your team and the league full of guys with unrealized potential. I enjoy the rate of progression as it is now.
