Re: How do you use practice?

If this works the way I think it does, practice is the only way to get scrub players XP during the season. Doing Easy Win gets every player on your team 1500 xp. I think the theory behind this is that every player participates in practice one way or another in real life and thus every player gets better. Unless you make it a regular habit to put your third string QB or second string LT in the game, this is the only way you are going to develop those guys. I would never skip it. Note, I am not 100% positive every player gets the xp but I am about 90% sure that's how it works. To me, 3 5 minute quarters are a small price to pay for developing all my second and third string players.

I usually sim practice. I think its nice to have so you can get bonuses through your coach but it takes forever. I wish instead of xp boosts, you could just focus on things in practice so that they carried over to the game. For instance, if you struggled at holding onto the ball and had a lot of turnovers, than in the following week you could focus on ball control and carrying during practice so that in the game your main rb wouldnt be fumble prone. I liked this idea in NBA 2k.

Well those scenarios emulate a game where your team was having a rough day. Like when you play a game and pause it, it shows you what players are doing terrible and the practice basically emulates the same thing.

I usually do the 1800 easy win scenario. Do stats matter? Do i need to put my young guys in to max their practice xp? Does rushing for 100 get me more than rushing for 200? Get it?

Re: How do you use practice?

I'm pretty sure practice in ccm uses the default sliders because it never uses conventional play calling I have setup, every damn time I have to change it.

Anyway, I used to hate practice, but now I do it every week. The 1800 point Easy practice where you lead 6-3 is a great way to build up XP so you can buy important things like boosting position XP. I go for WR, HB and CB first.

The 1800 xp is for the coach, but every player gets 1500 which is way more important to me.

No, I don't think you need to sub in your younger guys. I have never seen anyone get more or less than 1500 for the easy win practice. As long as you win, everyone gets the 1500 xp. They don't even have to play a snap I don't think. I am not 100% sure about that, but I know my second string QB is getting xp and he has never played a snap, so it has to be from there. I am pretty sure, they figure your second string is practicing too on the practice team.

Speaking of that, does anyone know WHO you practice against? Are they based on your team or just a general practice team that is the same every time?

Re: How do you use practice?

One last question. How do you know what practice is for players vs coach? All i see is a scenario description.
