Reading the article it seems they have an on going relationship with Sony.What does this mean for us Microsoft guys?

It will be good for leagues. I just hope the new xbox will have it

So far this one particular feature has me more excited than anything else about the next-gen systems. I just hope it really is for Xbox and not just PS4 as it could be a game changer in regards to what system I support and I am not sure I am comfortable with leaving Xbox Live for PS4 but this may make me switch..
