Usually I have no problem with the challenge feature, but everytime the CPU scores a touchdown the challenge area is greyed out! For example, if the refs rule a TD, but I don't think the receiver was in bounds or across the goalline, they won't let me challenge! Anybody have a solution or have this problem also? This is for PS2

I can't remember the last time I tried challenging a TD so I don't know if it's always grayed out or not. But, make sure you don't look at the replay before you try to challenge...

Even if you look at the replay first, the option to challenge isn't necessarily unavailable. Instead you'll get a message saying you viewed the replay and therefore are unable to challenge. If you've used your replays and have none left - likewise with timeouts as well - then you will find the option is unavailable.

I never look at the replay so can't be that. And I had challenges and time outs but still it was greyed out. Can someone check into this and see if they can challenge a TD?

Is it possible that it happened with under two mins in the 2nd or 4th qtr?

That is the thing about Madden. Challenging TDs is random. Like the computer allows you to challenge it sometimes, other times it won't let you. It is just the way it is. I know it is dumb, but at least we have the challenge button

Challenges in madden aren't what you think. The game makes the refs purposely miss a call, so they let you challenge. When you can't challenge, the call is right, even if it doesn't look like it.

So yeah CPU refs purposely make the wrong call.
