I own a PC and am getting an Xbox in the very near future. Which plays a better, more realistic game of football? Try to leave out the bias on what you prefer the college or pro game (in real life). I heard the feel of excitement in the college version is unmatched, but what about true, gridiron play. Thanks!

Some will tell you that they are two different games, but the big difference is in the better playability of NCAA 2004. Where Madden is rigid and stuffy (only by comparison-still a damn good game)NCAA is free and fluid. You have more control of your players and just a better overall "feel".

I don't know...sometimes it seems like Madden 2004 is "growing" on me, then the next day I play some NCAA then put Madden in and am put to sleep.

I dislike Madden

I hated to type that cuz I really like the owner mode. The gameplay is just too FRUSTRATING for me. I'm hoping that ESPN isn't so bad so for now i'm back playing with NCAA.

Man, I remember when NCAA was a joke compared to Madden even three years ago, but NCAA keeps on making crazy all-around improvements and Madden is just truding along. They add teams, I love the SI feature, changing conferences, etc. Plus the gameplay is just way more fun to me, plus still realistic. I played a 13 game season with UConn and had 8 games that received a greatest game score. It's just too much fun. I play one game of Madden to every season I play in NCAA.

Personally, I don't think its even close. When Madden first came out last year I hated it, but then it slowly grew on me, and I thought it was about even, but this time around NCAA is hands down taking the crown in '04.

NCAA has the advantage on gameplay for sure. If you're all about Owner Mode, get Madden, otherwise I'd get NCAA.

Or better yet, get both

I do wish they had Playmaker, a Tourney option, and an accelerated clock for NCAA.

Playmaker and stadium-editor are the only things I wish NCAA had that Madden has. Plus a uniform editor in NCAA would be nice, hopefully they can improve it for '05 cause the one in Madden is garbage.
