Cannot scout players in Madden 12

I've been playing the first few games in franchise and haven't been able to scout any rookies for the draft? Is my game glitched or can you only do scouting at certain points in the game? Thanks!

In season scouting is done at weeks 1, 5, 9, 13, and 17. Read my thread in the main room titled scouting tips: good info i've researched. There's a hughe bug that no one seems to be paying attention to that kinda ruins scouting.

Ya, I uploaded my college rosters and all of the names are random names for each player.

yeah I've had the same problems with uploading my college roster to madden 12. like I'm so confused of the whole recruiting thing now. do any of y'all know why or what to do?
