It just means that they are getting closer to finally having the roster update done and ready for us the gamers. It may not be what everyone wants or expects to hear, but basically it just shows that they are making progress and inching closer to being done.

It's a separate mode of the game and has a different roster associated with it. The OF guys are the ones that eat, breathe and defecate football. All OF players want to start their season off with 100% accurate real life NFL rosters and contracts so they can manage their own team over the course of the playing through the next 5-10 seasons.

Online Franchise only updates it's roster 2-3 times a year. Regular updates come out weekly.

So if I'm playing Offline Franchise I just need the regular roster update?

can we add FA players to teams after this update (IR and practice squad players) or is it gonna be locked at 53? anyone know?
