Great job with this roster (everyone involved). I was actually just starting to create the Rams draft class for myself tonight when I seen this thread, saved me some hassle.

I know how to fix the potential problem in career mode but it would be very time consuming. When you create a player (which is how I assume you did most of these) just leave their ratings as default. Then you will need to change the players position to kicker / punter, before or after entering career mode, then adjust the kick power / accuracy sliders until you get your desired potential rating. Then change player back to position and edit stats for new position, their potential will stay the same, unless you make them ridiculously over rated then it would go further up the scale.

Does this help?

I just realised maybe this wouldn't help you, as I don't how you guys save roster files etc. ive never done it myself. Perhaps ask the guy who did the original roster file?

I checked, yes all the 2013 draft players have an 'A' potential regardless of where they were drafted. About the only thing you can do, is come up with a system to decided which round/player gets what potential rating and then change it by doing the K/P thing but man, that is allot of work.

And really, how do you decide who get's what potential? Some high picks bust and some lower picks excel in real life.

Or, you could just play it as is and have the best draft class in the history of the NFL!

I've been testing this roster as-is in franchise mode and its pretty much not salvageable. Even dropping 3rd-7th round guys to a 59 OVR is doing no good, 3 seasons and they're all the way up into the mid to upper 80s. Lots of 7th rounders are 80-89 OVR at pretty much every position. Even some guys at 59 OVR that were cut in season 1, were progressed to the mid 80s and starting by season 4 despite not being on a team on season 1 or even season 2 for some, then starters by week 1 in season 4. Hundreds of players from 77-90+ in one draft class after 2 to 3 seasons of progressing is causing lots of season 3 and season 4 rookies to be cut right after being drafted and again during cut days. Literally you could pick up 10-20 rookies after preseason that are 68-78 OVR and A or B potential from the free agent pool. Dropping them below 59 OVR would get almost all of them cut during season 1 and removed/deleted from the free agent pool.

The idea about making rookies K/P and adjusting would be great, but once the "A" potential grade has been set there is no way possible of changing it to a lower rating. I've tried moving player positions and dropping ratings below 50 but nothing changes the POT rating for the players that were already made. The entire draft class would have to be re-made from scratch to get this correct. Until Madden 25 releases and we find out if those rosters will transfer via hex editing, I'm not planning to do anything further with these rosters. For franchise purposes they're pretty broken.

These are likely still salvageable, however there will need to be 2 different roster files if you plan to play with the rosters outside of franchise mode, due to the rookies needing to be between 59-70 OVR. In testing the first time around I started a franchise and traded a bunch of rookies to the team just to see how they progressed, what I didn't realize is that the rookies do in fact progress based on playing time. After season 3 there are still plenty of players from this class that only progressed roughly 10 points or so OVR, but only the guys who never got any playing time. So I propose that all of the draft class should be adjusted to between 59-70 OVR, and ALL QBs from the class need to be dropped to 50-59 OVR. I don't recall what Glennon was OVR at the start of the Franchise, but he's in the 90's now. Geno and Manuel are both over 94. Many others are in the mid to high 80s. I think the QBs are going to progress like crazy regardless of any playing time so they should ALL be rated 59 or lower. Maybe Smith and Manuel should be 66-70 OVR, but none of the others should be over 60 in my opinion, otherwise there are handfuls of QBs from this class in the 80s and 90s.

Anyone even interested in this?

Im interested in you rerate the franchise ratings. I think others would also. I'm passing on madden 25 looks just like 13 which I also have. The madden 12 franchise is just much better than cc in 13.

Any idea why the Vikings start with a $-648.56M Cap Room? Weird.

They have more than 55 on the roster. Try cutting 5+ guys with 1yr/500k-900k contracts before starting the Franchise, then start franchise with MIN and immediately cut 5 of your auto-generated "camp rookies", then go to Free Agents and sign the 5 guys you cut before starting Franchise, they'll have similar sub $1M/1yr contracts that they had before being cut. I tested this, seems like a similar issue that multiple teams have, but its an easy work-around. Also if 5 doesn't work for any other teams, try the same method with 6 or 7.

Also, in case anyone was unaware, your auto-generated "camp rookies" OVR? are all wonky on the Player Management screen, but if you want to know what their OVR is before cutting or keeping them, just add them to the Depth Chart one by one and the OVR that is shown in the Depth Chart is the actual OVR; however this does NOT include the OVR shown from below the Depth Chart, a FB that isn't listed at 1, 2, or 3 on the Depth Chart may show that he's a 93 OVR, but when you put him at 1, 2, or 3 on the actual Depth Chart he may be a 46 OVR. You have to put them at one of the actual Depth Chart positions to see that he is indeed a 46 OVR.
