I'm familiar with how to download compressed files onto my USB and get them onto my PS3 but this .rar file is confusing me. What did the rest of you do?

If you have an explanation for how to get your original file to download and be recognized by my PS3 when I plug my USB into it, I'm all ears.

Extract the .rar file to your desktop. Should get a PS3 folder. Put that on your USB stick and then copy the file within to your PS3.

There is no file to extract. The file that got downloaded is not compressed. It's just a .rar file. The icon on my desktop when downloaded is just a blank sheet of paper. (meaning it is a file, not folder, and definitely not compressed) When I right-click it, there is no "extract option."
