Re: Mudtiger - All-Pro tweaked Playmakers sliders

Well, mudtiger, I tried them and have to say they're really good, I am gonna have to tweak them just a little bit, i'm having trouble running, passing, and getting sacked. But everything's good on the other side, the other team runs a nice game, makes a good % on passing, makes smart decisions, and my defense plays good too. I'm just having trouble on offense.

And back to the subject of 12 min acc clock, you said you can play a game in under an hour, I don't know how, but I won't argue with you. But I played 1 half and timed myself, it took 44 minutes to play that first half. I quit after I saw that. I've changed it to 8 minute normal clock, it takes right around 1 hour like that, that is how I like it.

But anyway, these are good sliders for the most part. I should be able to get used to them and whatever adjustments I have to make for myself, I will be able to change back to how you list them here.

Thanks for your input yesterday.

Thanks again.
With accelerated clock on, you can call your plays as fast as you want because the play clock will always (except after the 2 minute warning) get run down to 20 seconds before you can get to the line. So if you are a fast play caller, you can decrease the real world game's length quite a bit. If you take your time calling plays, often taking it down close to or under 20 seconds before you call a play, then you lose some of the benefit of the accelerated clock and I could see how a 12 minute game would last longer.

Yeah, tweaking sliders requires patience. If you are trying to change things based on one game, you start changing sliders after every game even if they are perfect. Sometimes you get games that don't end up like you think they should or the stats surprise you. That happens in the real nfl too, so personally I look at average stats over the course of about 5 games before making any changes.

DEN at SD(me)

DEN 21 - SD 31

Total offense 228/373
Rush 89/105
Pass 139/268
Penalty 5/6

DEN
Plummer 10-20 for 126 pass and 1 TD, sacked 8 (injured for 2 quarters)
Bell 19-69 rush
Smith 5-62 rec

SD
Brees 19-30 for 302 pass and 2 TD (long of 86), sacked 7
LT 17-71 rush and 2 TD
Turner 6-28 rush
McCardell 4-120 rec and 1 TD (long of 86)

This game took me exactly 65 minutes to play. It felt like about an average game length for me too, so you can get a game done in about an hour or so.

I was down 14-3 at the half. I scored 21 in the 4th to seal the comeback win.

Plummer got injured in the 2nd quarter and was out until late in the game. His backup Mauck was terrible. I didn't write it down, but I think he was something like 3 for 10.

Brees' stats were helped by a gorgeous 86 yard pass to McCardell over the middle. It was about a 15 yard pass lofted over the middle LB and in front of the pursuing CB. The CB dove and missed and Kmac was off.

The sack numbers are a bit scary. I don't really want to raise pass block anymore because I'm right near the edge where the O-line because dominant. If I see this many sacks again, I am going to try out pass block at 10/10.

I think I've concluded my test on the new WRC and knockdown. I'm sticking with the changes. Human WRC at 9 and human knockdown at 0

Re: Mudtiger - All-Pro tweaked Playmakers sliders

I just used your sliders, and I really like them. There is just one problem, but it has nothing to do with the sliders but with my skills as a players.
I played with the Patriots, and my passes were really bad. I got just about 80 yards, 2 Interceptions, most passes were too long or were blocked before the receiver could catch them. At the end Brady had a rating of 13.9. :/
Do you maybe have some tips for me how to improve my passing? Maybe how to decide whom to pass to or when the right moment to throw is.

hey whats up ! this is nasa 30, let me answer your question because this is what works for me.

everyone has a favorite passing play or several good passing plays, my first advice is mix up your plays keep the cpu on there toes, also as far as passing study your recivers cut on his route onnce u got that down im sure u will pass more effiently, but the key here is to study the recivers last cut on his route,be sure not to throw the ball on his cut or it could be incompleted,be sure to pass the ball just before his cut so when the pass is thrown while the ball is in the air your see the receiver make his cut towards the ball, but keep in mind sometimes a certain reciver that u wanna throw to will be covered.so always have a secondary reciever to throw to try to look at the feild as good as possible when your primary reciver is covered, but remember the key to passing is to mix it up and study the cuts of your recivers, thats what works for me, i usally throw anywhere between 285 to 350 yards a game, thanks i hope this helps.........nasa30

Thanks, I followed this advice and it already helped me a bit.
But of course I'm still thankful for every other advice though.

I have been having trouble with not having enough time in the pocket, today I switched over to your sliders which I like but after 1 quarter of play I was almost begging for a pass rush. I had the most time ever in the pocket, I'm not sure if I like that or not? I was only able to get one quarter in, Chargers(me) vs. Raiders. Then again it could have just been because I WAS playing the Raiders

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely play some more games keeping my eye on sacks before I make any chagnes.

It's very hard to draw any conclusions based on 1 quarter of play. It's hard enough drawing conlcusions based on 4 quarters. I have not taken sacks out of the game by a long shot.

I'm ok at recognizing blitz and hitting a check down so I'm not getting sacked after 7+ seconds in the pocket. Stick with it, you'll get sacked.
