That may have more to do with the CPU's play-calling than the sliders. If that's the case, using an edited playbook with limited deep pass options for the CPU may be necessary. Any slider changes intended to reduce Yds/att are likely to take the completion % down with them.

They player pass D sliders are ridiculously hard. From my Jags franchise here are the #'s for the opposing QB's:

Kyle Orton 25/34 354 yrds 1 td 0 int (decent numbers since the Broncos are a passing team)
Philip Rivers 22/36 458 yrds 3 td 0 int (alright numbers...Rivers is straight but 458 yrds is a lot)
Kevin Kolb 23/38 346 yrds 2 td 0 int
Josh McCown 25/34 387 yrds 5 td 0 int (WTF??? he was playing in place of an injured Manning but those numbers are crazy high for McCown)
Ryan Fitzpatrick 21/33 325 yrds 3 td 0 int
Vince Young 28/29 323 yrds 1 td 0 int (went down in the stat book as 29/29 however because of some glitch)

I have 0 int's and 1 fumble recovery. Meanwhile I've fumbled 4 times and have thrown 2 ints.

The rest of the settings are good IMO.

After finishing my 2011 Redskins season 5-11 and being 32nd in pass defense, I'd have to agree. When you're trying to improve something with sliders, you can sometimes be too successful at it.

I've got some changes in the works but I'm too early into testing to officially post them. Preliminary indications are good, so I'll tell you what I did in case you want to help test:

Lower CPU QBA to 70
Lower CPU WRC to 40
Increase HUM INT to 10
Raise HUM PDREAC and Pass Rush into the lower 30's at the maximum that will keep the overall at 15.

curiousity is getting the better of me but from what i read isn't coach mode only to help you pass if you can't make the decision fast enough?

I started a Franchise, set all the Sliders, played one pre-season game, then saved the Franchise. However, when I loaded the Franchise the following day, all the Sliders were set to Pro settings. Do I need to be sure to press L3 and Save All, or is there something else I'm missing? Thanks.

Save all because the slider and gameplay settings are saved under your profile.

For me and most other coach mode players, the draw is having our strategy and decision-making influence the outcome instead of stick skills. It has nothing to do with whether we're any good at playing arcade style. I'm old school. I was playing text-based sims before Madden was ever around.

If you play directly controlling players, you are playing an arcade football game.

If you play coach mode, you are playing sim football, or as close to it as you can make Madden give you.

Re: M2H's Coach Mode Sliders for Normalized CPU Completion %

right M2H i get that. Madden used to have a true coach mode where you never controlled the players you called the plays and the cpu did the rest! But they are saying if you don't make a quick enough judgement now the cpu will only pass the ball? so that is what I am trying to figure out.
