My current understanding is that your position is simple the only adjustment to any setting is the QBA Chart, regardless of the # for QBA just leave ALL other settings alone.

Am I on track here?

As a concept I understand the QBA & WR Catch adjustments that have been discussed but Im trying to be clear on PM's points.

OK thanks again PM not trying to make things harder but I understand your frustration
yes that is correct

I think when you start changing the WR settings or OL settings it just makes the situation confusing

That is why i said what ever base set i list for the CPU and Human OL and WR's just go with that setup unless it simply doesn't work for your team than modify to your liking

For the CPU your going to see the difference in QB's simply by switching their QBA slider alone during your franchise play.

Right now you see QBA at 78 that is the actual league avg for all QB's in Madden in terms of overall accuarcy....The human was flipped around to get the low end 78 which is 22

When you play Drew Brees the only thing that is going to change is the QBA will go from 78 to 90 for the CPU

For the Human Player if you were controlling Brees your QBA would go from 22down to 10 but your WR Catch slider will go up to 65 that setting is going to make Brees feel like Brees unless you start messing around with the INT slider for the CPU.

I'm going to possibly lower the INT in order for the game to Simulate 12 Minute QTR's instead of the 10-12 minutes to help the game get up to the NFL avg for total plays

It looks like somewhere around 25-35 INT will match 12 minutes QTR's

PM, from some of the box score I have seen it looks like back ups are getting a decent amount of series. How has your experience been with them?

Remember everyone. Use the first page as a base and tweak from there. I think IMO you need a dozen games to get a good grip on what will work for you. And then as you keep playing and getting better and better you will make your sliders harder.

But man I love that QBA chart. Brilliant for franchise play!!!

Back to playing the game!
so you were doing good vs the CPU with Tackling at 40 and their Run Block/Broken Tackles were both at 50/50

Is that correct?

I've been trying to reduce the Human & CPU running game down because a lot of people were having issues with the CPU tearing it up on the ground at that original setting.

Now i'm looking at their Run Block at 40 to allow the Human DT's to be effective at the point of attack

The problem really doesn't appear to be the CPU's Running backs it seems to be the advanateg between their OL and the USER DL

I want to try and make so that the DL can be effective getting offf blocks like i did with the Pas Rush

So lowering OL Run Block slider woll decrease their strength advantage up front and also make the feel the game feel even more fluid when you take on blockers

I think you nailed the RB sliders i see 2-3 guys all the time

I'm not sure why others might have problem unless they are still using the 55 fatigue setting but i updated it already when i got the auto subs from you

it could also be 10 minute qtr's isn't long enough so i'm trying to modify the set to fit 12 minute qtr's

Yeah I am pretty happy on the offense side of things but I am still iffy on the defensive side. Do corners or safeties sub out a decent amount IRL? I for one really don't know this even though I am a football fanatic. I do know that the defensive tackles, defensive ends and linebackers sub a good amount. Also iffy about the fb/te.

Corners and safeties do not sub. Linebackers are minimal (definitely not in key situations ie goal line) d line subs the most... Should get s good rotation there... Wr rarely... Rb could come up wit a system to split carriers ie 90/10% of carries would be x/x in/out, 80/20% , 70/30%, etc... But that would require experienced auto sub testers...

Some custom tweaks I made are the following:

Threshold at 45, quarter length 11 minutes. I cranked down CPU INT to 35 as I am really adjusting to the much better AI coverage. They are much smarter than in past Maddens. Also I have Pass Rushing sliders at 75/75. Everything else is exactly like page one.

Oh and I lowered False Start to 52. Waaaaay too may at 60. It was annoying for my taste.

Marshall got knocked out in the first quarter on the second drive. We took tje opening kickoff and drove 80 yards to go up 7-0. From there it was hell as they picked me 4 times (all my fault). But Bush got red hot and broke off some sick runs and I used him on a couple of beautiful screens. I hit Marshall on a simple out and he broke Revis's tackle and dashed for 80 yards. It was beautiful and just like Marshall in real life. He is a load to bring down. LT busted a major TD run on me. But Sanchez was struggling and my defense held tough in the red zone.

Adtually I have the CPU RB at 45 and broken tackles at 30. It feels good having to respect the CPU running game and it has for the first time ever in my Madden experience felt like a true chess match playing the cpu.

In the past the AI was just plain dumb. They have no doubt improved.

Problem is you start getting better and better and then you figure them out....but that is here your QBA theory is doing wonders.

I am seeing such a nice variety in CPU QB play that the games are unique and fresh. Couple that with the well executed DPP (screw anyone saying they think it sucks or whatever....I love it) and you have one hell of a sim game this year. Well....as sim as you can get Madden to play.

I am loving this game. Truly their best Madden ever.

Finally to be able to really say that since Madden 2005....mission freaking accomplished!!!

Playmakers I have already lost track of which base I am using.....things are moving so quick here bro!

Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

For the Human Player if you were controlling Brees your QBA would go from 22down to 10 but your WR Catch slider will go up to 65 that setting is going to make Brees feel like Brees unless you start messing around with the INT slider for the CPU.

Pm- u said no switching the wr catch.... Can you clarify .... I know this is for user... Breed goes from 22 to 10, so I need to adjust +12 catch from my base? So base 53+12= the 65...

So if I play with sanchez- base 22 to 19 is minus 3 so I add 3 to base catch n get 56?
