so far..halftime stats

Vikings (me) - 35
Chargers (cpu) - 14

i had a 28 point 2nd quarter

i have 307 yards (136 rushing, 171 passing)..they have 160 (10 rushing, 150 passing)

rivers is 9/12 173 yards 2 td 0 int
mcnabb is 15/17 187 yards 2 td 0 int

peterson 14 carries 87 yards 1 td
gerhart 4 carries 30 yards 2 tds..both td's from 15 yards out

tolbert 4 carries 10 yards

vikings d has 3 sacks so far
chargers d has 1

it may just be my mind acting up..but my stats seem pretty high for 2 quarters of play against the chargers
Did your sacks seem cheap? What about your passing/running? Y'know, last year we seemed to encounter the same sort of dynamics...get "final sets" and then start changing after people complained about things being too easy or too hard. I wonder if, as referenced in a few posts earlier, that whole issue of using game planning might be helpful? I mean, let's face it, if the cpu's dropping 3 deep quarters consistently and you are running (of course, I'm exaggerating to make the point), or they are bringing the house. . .sliders can't correct for that without screwing up the outcome of more realistic play calls.

Same sliders, and the only changes on the Human side was bumping Pass Reaction up to 8 and Pass Rushing up to 66. Also changed CPU QB Acc to 16 and WR Catching to 84.

I had 1 sack to Atlanta's 4. Still no interceptions, but I didn't see as many thrown directly to my defenders that should have been picked off.

Also, as you can see, Michael Turner was unstoppable, breaking tackles left and right. He had 100 yards after 1st hit.

What about the possibility of allowing user pick?

This was the best rushing set up I have used to date
0/6
24/34
50/60

Versus

24/24

the problem with that setup is a guy like A.Peterson or MJD will destroy any defense with that high of run block slider....

You have to kinda an equal setup that puts all RB's on the same level and then let their skill set kick in

So i went 0, 0, 50 and thay way it's much easier for the USER to then know how to adjust the blocking for his team becuase there's only one way you go which up now LOL!

If you have a great RB then obviously this works out easy for you that way aswell because then you'll know if the CPU tackle slider or Block Shed slider needs to go up

So there is no more going down to adjust Human running game that makes it's much easier to recognize which slider needs changed

That looks good 24, for run block, PM keeps putting it back to 0 and for the life of me Felix Jones sucks, or it is me, i just push the button and let the cpu run, i dont use the sticks so maybe these settings are not for me, defense is fine the no switch rule but on offense i struggle even with Romo at 14 tons of off target passes that look just crazy sreen pass, with no pressure and it's way overthrown, i dont want it easy but i also want it to work for me not throwing the controller jk, lets face it, the game is about offense (NFL) lets make it that way.

You will either have to reduce CPU broken Tackles to 6 or increase your Tackle slider to 20 and take away your block shed slider

the sacks didnt feel "cheap" per say..2 of them were coverage sacks (brandon graham free agency pickup )..and one was on a screen pass attempt on 3rd and 3 and i sent the house...

im gonna finish the second half now and see where the stats are at the end..i hope they balance out in the 2nd half

yeah but there's no set rules....

for example you could use Romo without changing any of the base settings for passing

22
76
60

Or you could use Romo using the same settings that the CPU Romo utilizes

14
76
86

I've never created any House rules that restrict you from changing any slider that fit your style.....

Either one of those passing game settings will probably feel really smooth to you.

As for Run Blocking again there's no setting that is locked in....

If 24 run blocking works better for you use it as i know already not all RB's in Madden can operate with a low Run BLock slider.

The reason why the base setting is going to be at 0 now is because trust me it's always easier for guy to adjust settings upwards....very rarely do guys like adjust settings downwards to fix issues.

If i leave Run Blocking at 24 the skillful runners will post non-stop about how easy it is to run and they won't even think for a minute to decrease the slider downwards

But if it's too hard you can bet they'll make that change without hesitation LOL!

Also just to let people know the lower the CPU Block shed slider is the easier it'll be to run even with Run Block at 0....the higher the CPU block shed slider is the tougher it'll be to run because they will shed blocks before you can see a running lane stay open long enough
