TRAINING STAFFs: How does it ACTUALLY help in Madden?

In an online 2k5 league, we are trying to decide if we even CARE that teams should be concerned with which training staff they have. Since INJURIES are turned off on the franchise file and injuries are determined and upheld from the -INGAME injuries that occur in our IP to IP league games (with rosters exported from the franchsise file), then does the TRAINING STAFF really have any impact what so ever?

Does the TRAINING STAFF influence how players progress or is it just about whether players avoid injury or not when simming a game? I realize that it has likely no affects on our IP to IP game since they are played outside of the control of the franchise file, but if it affects ratings and/or progression, then it DOES matter to us.

Any enlightenment on this issue is greatly appreciated.
