If Madden 2007 and Madden 2008 is 30fps on PS3...Why do they complain about the fps?....The FPS is the same..Its just the gameplay is slower in general which is an EA issue they should have.

I've played Madden 2008 and 2007 online yesterday and 2007 is 2x faster than 2008 in terms of gameplay. It has nothing to do with FPS.

Because games are supposed to get better not "stay on par". At least that's what I'm thinking. If one version is 60fps and another 30, why rate them the same?

Was their any explanation why its only 30fps on the ps3 and not 60fps like on the 360?

FPS makes A HUGE difference in sports games and first person shooters because of the twitch factor... imagine in a game where you have to respond in tenths of a second and you only have half the frames to do it in... if that doesn't lower the score of a game then I don't know what would.

It got worse because in comparison to what else is out there, it is worse. Last year, 30fps was the standard so its score didn't suffer. This year, 60fps is the new standard which it doesn't have.

It makes perfect sense. If you kept releasing the same game year after year, you'd expect the score will keep coming down and down as the game fails to meet new standards. Now, I'm not saying the PS3 game is the same as last year, but one significant part is - the frame rate. Is it significant enough to go down 0.6 when you factor in the overall gameplay improvements etc? Probably not, but it should be lower, because relative to what else is out there (i.e. 08 360), PS3 08 is further behind than PS3 07 was.

It plays the same, I don't know what copy they got, I have not noticed a single drop in frame rate while playing...
