We'll see!

Re: Madden 09 Player and Team Ratings

I still dont get how you guys say what a player should be rated. It seems totally arbitrary to me. There has to be a better way to 'rate' players.

Would it be all that bad for players not to have any ratings, or have their ratings hidden? We know how good Manning is. We know how good LT is. WE should be able to 'rate' them based on how they play in the game. For rookies and draft classes, the only way to know if so
someone is good or not would be to use their scouting and see how they play on the field.

Example:

Rookie DE is 6'5 runs a 4.5 40 , benches 25 reps, has a 35 inch vert and scored a 20 on the wonderlic test. Then, give some college stats. That would allow the player to 'play' more rather than the game coming right out and telling you clear as day how good someone is.

Re: Madden 09 Player and Team Ratings

Pretty accurate ratings distribution for the Titans, though all those guys at 88 seems a little arbitrary, and LenDale White definitely seems a little underrated at only a 84. At least they got it right that the Titans O-line is the strength of their offense.

The only real head-scratcher is how the Titans have all those highly-rated starters and only got rated a 84 overall (tied with Broncos for 18th best team rating) .

Also, it would be awesome if anyone can:

1) turn this data into a text file

2) compose some position-specific rankings for the whole league

still that do you want to do this tedious process for a team of players that you may not know strentgths or weaknesses about?

Well, the Chiefs are far from the worst team in the game....ok well....they at least aren't the worst team in the game. They are tied for worst in the division, and there is no hope to be had. If anything, I can actually enjoy rebuilding the Chiefs now and they will most definitely be my team in my Madden franchise by default. Look out for the Pats and Cowboys online though, yikes!

Glen Dorsey as an 84...talk about a cap eater and beastly man in a few years of Madden...yikes!

The offense doesn't look too far off. I'm interested to see what I'm going to do with two 78 overall guys at QB, I might trade Huard for another lineman or something. Who knows....
