EA Sports Community Wishlist-- please submit your list

Okay, this is the short list. The point of this thread is for you in the community to help give the Madden team the direction that the community wants.

Now, this is the short list. A longer one will be done come August. Some of these are rather general, some are more specific. What I'm looking for is a list, in order, of what you would like to see made top priority.

Be selfish... the prevailing opinion of the community will be used, but if they see something that a good sized minority are really passionate about, I'm sure it'll make a difference.

List as many as you want, but try to list as many as you can. There's 151 items (was 151, I was able to cut a few in the process of posting) on the list as of right now (a number that will double, at least, come August), so I realize not everyone's going to list everything... but a solid 25 or so would be really helpful.

Thanks.

IMPORTANT NOTE: YES, you may add your own as you go, but be sure to NOTE that it is your own and include a description of the idea. Preferably a short summery with a link to something more in-depth.

Quarterback Ratings- Increase the number of ratings related to the QB position, including Deep, Medium, and short Accuracy, footwork, throw on the run, etc. http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-like-see.html

OL/DL Refactoring- A general focus on improving the interaction between Offensive and Defensive linemen, including animations and AI. Double Teams, realistic traps, cuts, routing/funnelling of defenders, brick-wall Nose Tackles.

WR/DB Refactoring- Increased, and more realistic, interaction between receivers and defensive backs.

Annual Cap Inflation Slider- Ability for franchise players to adjust the average increase of the salary cap in franchise mode.

Weekly Highlight Show- Similar to 2k5's SportsCenter

Retool Progression- A well tested, balanced progression system in Franchise mode.

Expanded Preseason Rosters- 75 man expanded rosters and cut-down days leading up to the regular season.

Rookie Workouts Prior to Draft- Pre-draft mini-games that allow you to try out the rookies before committing to them.

5,6,7, 8 Man Interactions- Fumble pile-ons, larger gang tackles.

Larger Draft Classes- Draft classes large enough to leave undrafteds at every position.

Focus-Intensity mechanic- A franchise mode mechanic in which the player must manage a continuum between a team's "Focus" and its "Intensity". Focused teams commit fewer penalties, Intense teams create more turnovers. Call it the Raiders-49ers mechanic.

More in depth pre-season roster AI for preseason- Computer teams make appropriate substitutions in pre-season games, looking to protect veterans while trying to get them ready for the regular season, and evaluate young players.

Full overhaul of all CPU logic in Franchise mode- Focus on Off-Season/Roster management AI in franchise mode, ensuring CPU teams are intelligent regarding their decision making.

Dynamic Crowds- Stadiums empty toward the end of the game, crowds react appropriately to in-game events.

Team Cohesion Rating- The team that stays together, wins together.

Coach Editing- At the start of franchise mode, the ability to immediately edit the head coach and/or simply create a new one for the team you are controlling.

Dynamic Weather- Weather changes throughout the game as time visibly passes as well.

Emphasis differences in running types- Make differences in running styles more pronounced... increase power of power backs and reduce their agility, and vica virca.

Rumble In The Pocket- AWR based "warning system" for QBs, creating a rumble when under pressure.

No Huddle Advance Playcall- Ability to call more than one play in the huddle to be used in the next no-huddle.

Progressive Fatigue- The maximum fatigue a player can recover too is reduced over the course of a game.http://www.operationsports.com/forum...mentation.html

Off the ball movement- Players off the ball or not controlled by players should have every possible cut animated to simulate natural physics

Realism Mode- A mode that aim to be a perfect NFL simulation, allowing casual players to play Madden "as-is"

Signature QB animations- QBs animated to throw like their real life counterparts.

Smarter Celebration- Teams should know when they've put the game away on a late touchdown, and celebrations should reflect that.

Overhaul Running Animations- Current animations appear too stiff, too upright. Overhaul for a more natural looking runner.

Double Team Gunners- Animations to support 2 corners on a gunner.

On The Fly Adaptive AI- Make adjustments mid game, such as double teaming a receiver who's having a big game, bring extra men in the box to stop the run, etc.

Player Movement/Inertia- All players must be subject to intertia/physics.

Goalline Blocking Animations- Goalline-specific blocking animations for more pile-ups and diving-over-pile.

Re: EA Sports Community Wishlist-- please submit your list

i'd love to make a long list like that but im really tired but im havin trouble sleeping so ima just say a few things

OVERHAUL FRANCHISE - please its been long enough on next gen with this plain franchise mode especially when i can get a much better version on legacy gen. be able to practice your team and give us a weekly show like sportcenter type deal and just improve the draft make it like head coach with adam shefter and todd mcshay reporting i really am disappointed this wasnt a bigger focus this year im glad you fixed the gameplay but fact that little to none was done to improve it(based on lack of information given) this year and while im glad that it will be a bigger focus next time it just sucks to have to keep waiting for you to fix what made madden so great before

SIG. THROWING ANITMATIONS - pretty much explains itself make brady throw like brady manning like manning and romo like romo maybe expand on this with runnning styles? and be able to change these in edit player

NEW ANNIMATIONS ALL TOGETHER - also explains itself love what you did this year with it and its so much better just change catchin ones i think make those alot better more specific ones for defense and offense

BRING CREATE A COACH BACK

PRESENTATION(HUGE)-
once again made great improvements this year but need to be expaned half time and post game analysis would be good and maybe a little pregame too and please change the superbowl celebration or at least add the lombardi trophy and give us seperate ones for the play offs and regular seasons. build that whole playoff and rival atomsphere thing up you guys put in.
i think it was nba live who used to do something where if u signed a player it showed a cutscene of him coming in to the locker room and meetin his new teamates that would be kool and like i said just do something with the draft

MORE UNI'S - just bring all the ones from legacy gen back

TRAINING CAMP - bring it back

PLAYER INTERACTIONS - o/d line and wr/db make it as fierce as the nfl will let you cause i know they put restrictions on you with that stuff and do the same with hit stick tackles at least make it like that during rivalry games

all i can really think of right now as i said im tired but these are some of my major concerns
if anyone at ea reads this
please give us more info on franchise

Re: EA Sports Community Wishlist-- please submit your list

THE MOST INDEPT FRANCHISE MODE EVER.

1.Intergrating Nfl head coach off-season mode into madden's franchise mode.
2. roster intergrations( from 85 man roster to 73 to 53 by august 15).
3. practice swad roster ( this is the place where you take players like H. Baskett and turn them into a clutch pro).
4. TRUE OWNER MODE ( hiring new GM's, stealing coaches, team playing to coaches stregths).
5. RIGORIOUS INJURY TRAINING ( like in 2k5 where you can help a player comeback from injury sooner)
6. IN-DEPTH DRAFT( where teams take players that they really need to fill a position instead of the dolphins taking 2 quaterback 2 years in a row.)

these are just a few ideas that i have for franchise mode. a free interm ticket to help would bring out alot more ideas

Re: EA Sports Community Wishlist-- please submit your list

First, allow me to give Dembroski a for taking the time to do this for the Madden communities. I'm sure it's no easy task to compile all of this information when we all are so diverse in opinions. Thanks

On to the list:

*I'll steer clear of franchise information. Obviously, it needs some fixing but I think EA should already have a good idea of what the community would like to see there.

1. OL/DL Interaction- If I steer away from Madden '09 this year, this will be the main reason why. There needs to be some balance restored here. Some will say now that it's weighted now towards the O-line, and others will say it favors the D-line. I say it's weighted to whichever side the AI is on. When I'm playing as a defensive lineman, it's just about impossible for me to get off the line and force pressure. When I'm on offense, the D-line dominates my O-line. Overall, it's well documented that this needs major attention.
2. Inconsistencies in Game Speed- Ian provided some insight on this a couple weeks ago @ MM I believe. Too often, the players scatter like roaches after the snap. This needs to be toned down to look more realistic.

2.5 "On the Fly" Adaptive A.I.- I forgot to add this initially. Basically, I want to see strategy in the playcalling on AI's part. I'd like to see the AI make adjustments to double team receivers. I'd like to see the defense actually bite on the play action b/c I've been running the ball effectively.

3. Trigger Passing Option- Please see my thread for detail: And Yet Another Idea to Enhance the Passing Game
4. QB Animations- Signature Animations and cleaner dropbacks
5. Timing Based Routes- One thing that's always been missing from the Madden passing game is the emphasis on timing. 2K placed a lot of emphasis in this area and it worked well.
6. Composure & Home Field Advantage- They can use what NCAA 09 is getting done this year and simply enhance it. It's been well documented on this forum that vibrating controllers would fit well with composure.
7. WR/CB Interaction- APF 2K8 is a good model for some of the improvements we'd like to see here.
8. Challenge System- We absolutely need to be able to choose exactly what we're challenging.
9. More wrap-up tackle animations
10. Removal of the Sprint Button- Sensitive subject for sports gamers. I'd like to see it removed and others would not.
11. More In-Game Cutscenes- shots of the coaches, players on the sidelines, a dejected QB after a bad throw, Coach & QB after an INT, etc.
12. Referees & Chain Gangs- Not a big deal but they should be there. No reason for them to be present on past generations and not be included on more powerful systems.
13. Defensive Matchups
14. Dynamic Crowds- Really adds to the atmosphere
15. Injury News- Like someone already mentioned, there should be some suspense after an injury; don't let us know the prognosis right away.
16. Celebrations- A little nitpicky but I feel some of the post play celebrations are over dramatic particularly the negative emotion ones (defenders after giving up a big play). They start swinging their arms in an upset manner and almost resemble zombies lol.
17. Approaching the L.O.S.- Simply put, the players should walk to the line.

That would be awesome (for franchise mode)

Re: EA Sports Community Wishlist-- please submit your list

Just so you're aware... I'm couting on OS with this. MM has been very slow this Madden season and seems to be the Home of the Disgruntled, and EA Sports forums locked the thread
