I couldn't agree more man...the diff is night and day. 480p has nothing on 720p widescreen displays. esp for sports games and the way that almost ALL sports games now have pretty much only one camera angle because of the ability to now go widescreen exclusively.

Re: *UPDATE* Demo Based, Visual Examples Why Multiple Camera Angles are Critical

There should at least be a screen adjustment, like MGS4, so even us folks with older TVs could basically zoom out to get letterbox. I'd prefer the black bars at the top and bottom of my old 36" 4:3 set.

I don't understand why, with that new camera for '09, my PS3 can't intelligently render the video to 4:3 like other games. When I play GTA on my old set, I'm not "missing" anything. The HUD is right in the corner of the screen, not cut off at all...

So, is it true that when I'm looking at Madden in 4:3 that the view is equivalant to 16:9 but as if there were black bars covering the left and right? It's not adjusted in any other way? That seems strange to me...

Maybe that video from pasta padre is just a cam that doesn't show the whole screen?

You are aware that different departments handle that stuff. The people in charge of camera angles and other aspects can work on that and there is another team working on A.I.

Head coach has multiple camera angles in it's first Next-Generation inception. Madden is already in the 4th year.

Head coach utilizes virtually the same graphics engine as Madden and has multiple camera angles. So obviously it isn't a technical issue.

Why? Some people can only afford the console that they want. There shouldn't be a reason not to have more than 1/2 camera angles.

Maybe the camera angles are related to the qb awareness? Eli usually closes his eyes when he throws the ball and hope for the best so maybe that's why you can't see all of your receivers. Use Brett, Carson, Tom, or Peyton and the screen will show all of your receivers.
Well if it is NEXT GEN why the hell doesn't EA use all this new technology to have NEXT GEN options like camera angles? It was in LAST GEN....nevermind....sick of banging on this beat up table.
