How can i stop this kind of play

The guy goes in the gun, rolls out (usually right) out the pocket and waits for the WR deep and throws it for a TD, most likely everytime and if its not there theres always a open guy. I tried sending blitz, i tried playing cover4, i tried playing with the LB and chasing him but he always has a enough time. But nothing seems to work. Thanks in advance.

Corner blitz seems to be most effective for me stopping the constant rollouts. Especially if the opponent doesnt have a widescreen tv, he will never see it coming.

I tried using DB Dogs Man and he still has enough time

Cover 2 under. control the safety over the top. Can you assign the DE or MLB to spy the QB?

Audible your Dline to your right have them slant to the right and send a LB or CB on a blitz to the same side. Basically over loading that side with presser. If you do this out of a cover 2 your strong safety will stay deep and should not allow anyone behind him.


What team are you and your opponent using?

Audible your DE's into QB contain, A, L stick down(xbox 360) or just run a designed contain play. If he rolls out of the pocket it's a automatic sack.

QB contain > QB spy.

Spying and QB contain is too passive.

That might work but he needs to bring immediate presser on the QB rolling out. You want the QB to make a decision as quick as possible. IE. throw it away, take the sack or throw a bad pass.

Yeah i've i been practicing this play on D it seem like it will work. I usually use the Lions and the guy i was playing against had the Pats. Thanks a lot for the help and everybody else.

Did you make that video in your sig? Ain't take some BS a nice throw and he doesn't go for the catch. **** like that needs to be addressed.
