Which Was Your Fav Madden, and What Feature Do You Miss Most From Last Gen?

I don't know which was really my favorite. The one I played the most was probably 08 but I wouldn't call it my favorite. I just played it a lot cause we were in Iraq and there wasn't a lot to do in our spare time. Things that I would like to see brought back is a pretty long list. They seem to take out anything that allows any strategy. Defensive matchups, they removed it. Custom packages, they removed it. Route based passing, not really a strategy thing but it was a great thing, they removed it. The ability to build a playbook and create plays, they removed it. I don't remeber if they brough it back in 09 but I didn't they remove Oline adjustments. I know NCAA 09 had it but I don't know about madden. I am glad to see they brought back smart routes. That was a big one that they had removed. What about formation audibles, did they bring that back in 09? if not, add that to my list.

In madden 09 they have even added the ability to let the cpu call plays for you or to just choose a type of play and the CPU would call the play didnt they. I think I remember that from the last time I tried playing it. What is next, are they going to just remove play calling altogether?

Madden '05 is still my favorite Madden of all time.

Not sure what feature I miss the most. I guess it would be accelerated clock.

owner mode, restricted FA and when you were able to bring college players to a visit + also the college bowl that they let you to play before each draft.

I miss practice mode within the franchise mode.
I miss switching teams after seasons in franchise mode.

Madden 06. I miss all of it. Most of it though was the extreme fluid gameplay. My.. what could have been if we had used that engine and redid the graphics..

1) Accelerated clock

2) Working fatigue and cpu subs (though you had to create a dummy cpu profile to see the cpu subs).

Definitely 05 on the Xbox for me, I think it was the best NFL game ever made. I personally liked the vision cone because it actually worked, I could move the Safety's with it and then throw over the middle or to the other side with success. It took me about 3 months to learn how to throw successfully with J. Plummer because his accuracy wasnt great, but once I got it, It felt the same every time.

Fatigue worked, true formation subs, accelerated clock, cpu AI seemed to adjust to my play calling tendencies, the newspapers and the T. Bruno show gave the game a nice real feel. player progression felt good, I actually could develop a player in preseason if it was done right, cpu sliders, I found some great sliders on here and never got bored. 05 hands down.
