Votes keep piling in...35 votes total...all in favor of removing it.

I wonder who will be the first to vote opposite just to be different :P.

im for it being removed. but if your going remove it make the oline AI smarter. i only use it on tosses and counters because the the tackle wont block anyone at all on those plays. he will let the end run right through untouched. if that problem is fixed then i dont have a problem.

I voted yes, that was a mistake though. I meant no. I see real no benefit in it since linemen AI should handle the job themselves. It's a bandaid for AI that should be better and getting the defenders they should be getting themselves. No one uses it really. And if they do, is because they can get easy pancakes off it.

I would not miss it, and I don't think much of the community will.

As unrealistic as the lead block feature is, I find that without it the CPU is absurdly difficult to run against. So unless the running game is redone, lead blocking is a necessary evil.

remove please....

while i don't dislike the mechanism, i do think it gives an unfair advantage to the offense. It is my firm belief that my o-lineman should pancake the d-lineman if he is better than him (based on weight, height, ability{strength, footwork...etc}).

I hope this definately means you guys are fixing the o/d line interaction

Just a few days ago, I was playing against someone online and he used Lead Block half the time and I was not able to get around the left tackle 100 percent of the time. Completely ridiculous.

Removing it is the way to to go.

Keep up the great work, Ian!

My preorder is waiting to be processed.

I wish that function could be used to be able to change camera perspectives. I pretty much only used it for that anyway. I like to click 'B' and move the icon to the Runningback, and then push the shoulder button and drop the perspective to field level where I would sorta get this kind of view (but unfortunately not as close):

It might be cool to be able to select camera's any time you want without stopping and going into the menu to do it (assuming of course that we'll have multiple selectable cam's this year). So you could select between different preset angles and a custom one you've set.

Another idea would be to use this old function to be able to actually play from the perspective of any player on the field. Not just Lead Blocker stuff but a camera that really gets down on the field and makes you feel like you're that player. Still in 3rd person, but up close and personal.

So I vote to keep the mechanic in the game, but to do something different with it.
