Not to turn this into a grammar bee, but I think it's ok to put an 'an' in that situation. If the word has a vowel-like sound, it's ok. That'll be all I say about this.

i like posts like this, however i disagree with your post. My hypothesis is, is that Madden won't be truly great again unless there's a competitive market. not Blitz, not All-Pro, not backbreaker. competition creates greatness. Madden will be good this year tho, because they have the right people working on it. but it's kind of hard to be motivated enough when you know your the only NFL football game on the market.

It's like that in anything, on my high school football team there were only 20 kids on it and the starters had their postions locked pretty much and thats why we went 0-10, 0-10, 2-8, 5-5 in highschool because their was no competition!
