Expectations of Madden 10......

In all honesty, I have cared more about the "little" improvements that have been showcased in this year's game than I have all of the "big" improvements for the last four or five years.

I don't think this game will be perfect but no sports game has been flawless.As much as I've played 2k5 as my football game of choice the past few years,I know it can certainly be beaten with a good,focused attempt by the devs.I think they've shown they're up to the task.

That being said,I know there's reason to be skeptical after being disappointed several years in a row.I don't think it's impossible given the blogs have been spot-on at addressing major issues.If the OL/DL interaction,presentation are much improved and no issues like broken sliders,franchise freezing,etc.,then Madden '10 could certainly be the best football game yet.

As great as 2k5 is,it took a long time to tweak to get it to play good,the franchise has major flaws and plays better as a season mode,and it's hard to get consistent computer qb play.If it weren't for Finn's editor the game wouldn't have the legs that it has over the past few years.

I'm thinking this could very well be the year we finally get a next-gen football game worth playing.

I don't expect it to be perfect because nothing is perfect. I expect to at least be up to par to 2k gameplay wise. I also want great presentation, but its not as of a big as concern to me than the gameplay.

I voted best football game (SO FAR).... maybe not ever that's a bit much, but I definitely think that with next gen capabilities it could be up there with the very best. Based on what we've seen so far and understanding that we haven't even been exposed to the "BIG" features yet, I think we'll be in for a great installment this year.

I voted "better than last year".

I try not to get my hopes up with EA. The game Ian and Co. took over was pretty bad. The graphics looked nice but the gameplay was horrible. The running game sucked, OL/DL interactions sucked, the game was glitch city. I know Ian and Co. are putting their collective "best foot forward", but I just can't imagine the game surpassing 2k5 from what we saw in Madden 09 in one year. I just hope I eat my words.
