Level of importance of game play; for me, 1,000,000,000%!
I could play with Wii graphics if I had the most realistic football experience ever. Online leagues, with great stat tracking, and webpage support, & no cheese. Graphics are nice, but game play will always win out over graphics.

I agree they should spend the whole year working only on gameplay and nothing else just so that they can finally get it right.

I'm a gameplay over graphics person myself. That's why ps2 madden continues to trump ps3 madden. The gameplay is solid and it feels more authentic. I understand about the development cycle and learning curve with new technilogy. But this year great graphics and great gameplay will create the defining football game of the last 10 years.

Gameplay,Graphics and Presentation are all EQUALLY important, each of them makes the other better.

Since they have different groups working on each part, there is no excuse for either part to be ignored for an entire year. The idea of sacrificing has good intent, it's just not based in the reality of how it all really works.

Gameplay matters but to me without a fun franchise mode I wouldn't even buy the game.

I could live with average gameplay as long as the franchise is great.

But great gameplay and great franchise to me would be a very very good thing too.
