This seems like an older build, or at least some stuff isn't implemented. I didn't see any depth of field effects, and there didn't seem to be much sound from the crowd or stadium. Presentation looks good, aside from Hammond as people have mentioned. Man he really drags it down, just terrible. The pocket is better than before but still sets up too slow. LOL @ whoever was controlling that CB. Otherwise gameplay looks solid at least, the TD pass catch looked good. Last year that would have been some horrible spin catch.

Here is the official Madden 10 Co-op trailer. Personally, I'm cool on co-op. Not for me but I just enjoy watching any new Madden 10 footage over and over and over...and over...and...

That video confirmed 2 things to me - 1) the game is still Madden and still plays like Madden for better or worse (which is to be expected...the game sells MILLIONS of copies and only THOUSANDS of people ever care about the drivel we obsess on at places like OS and other forums) and 2) the presentation aspects that so many people "ooh'd" and "aww'd" about in 2K5 have been lifted whole cloth and dropped into Madden!

The first point - gameplaying like Madden - what did people HONESTLY expect to see, 2K8 in NFL uniforms? This is not ever going to happen! Madden is Madden and always will be...until we see real world momentum in the player's change of direction and user defined camera angles, the core game will LOOK the same all the time. I am becoming more and more convinced that until (or IF) the momentum issue is addressed, Madden will look the same no matter what they do with animations or blending technology or the rest of the game. This was true last gen and is true this gen and will be true in any future gen as well...

The second point - presentation being lifted from 2K5 - I was pretty surprised when I saw that. It was almost a carbon copy of the pre-game info/action shots of warm-ups in the old 2K game. I thought...well, when you can't beat 'em, at least join 'em.

All in all, the sideline scene with Romo on the headset was the most inspiring because it looked like Madden 10 IS using Head Coach 09 sideline assets (or something very close to it) for cut scenes and atmosphere...a good thing which should offer a lot of possibilities for the game. I just hope there is enough variety to keep it from getting too boring too fast...gotta figure that the game should have a MINIMUM of cut scenes to survive 80 games (4 complete seasons in Franchise including the pre-games) before the players start really noticing the repetitions.

I am not surprised in the least by the over-the-top freak out that this video produced around here...for weeks now people have been slowly losing their minds in the delusion that MADDEN NFL 10 was going to be NFL2K10 or something similar...it is like giving a hyper active child a candy bar and watching the sugar high become a sugar crash...

You, sir, are correct. This is an older build. Ian commented on such, saying he felt the video was outdated.

Dunno if this has been pointed out but the PHSYCIC AI is still in effect even though the balkl didnt even get released yet and the person attacking the INTENDED WR came from the opposite side of the field.

I think its at the 1:45 mark when they do the replay when Mcnabb gets sacked and who the open WR would have been, you would see the DB (i think) run across the field when #80 made his cut toward the endzone.

Everything else seemed ok except for the fact that Special Teams is still a WORK IN PROGRESS since it was not shown at all. And I hope that wasnt the case about that DB coming across the field to break up a play that never even got going due to a sack.

then why was it shown if its outdated? it doesn't take long to record a game, cut some plays, and then send it over to IGN. its over the internet, its not like it had to be writted into a show like x play. it would take maybe2 days to get it done, and the video is said to be weeks old. so what the hell
