It's up to you. Don't let someone elses comments lead you either way. I know you're just looking for advice but, my advice is to do what you want.

You're going to get the bashers and lovers. Only "YOU" can justify why you did something.

I rented it first. I find the game serviceable. It's not gonna win any awards but it provides a football fix unlike previous next gen offerings. I wasn't gonna buy it, but gamestop is having a special where they are giving 50% more for trade ins for madden. I took in four games i haven't played in years and ended up getting $1.25 credit. So Madden was worth it since I in a way got paid to get it.

Well this is my first "next-gen" Madden and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. The sliders are what do it for me. Without the sliders I would say 100% do not buy the game, but with the sliders I would say yeah pick it up because you can fine tune it to your liking. That's not to say the game is perfect by any means. There are still a lot of problems sliders and all. One thing that I have a big problem with is there is no analog sensitive player movement. It drives me crazy to not be able to walk or jog. But overall it's a good game. Ultimately though the decision is yours.
