Madden 10, Games Scripted...?

This is BS, the game is scripted. I picked a running play to the left and it ended up being a screen pass. I tried to kick a field goal and it was a fake. In the end, I lost most of my games by a field goal. This game is scripted just like the NFL.

I think this game is just the opposite, unpredictable! I go on a 5 game winning streak online beating higher level players then all of a sudden I go on a 5 game losing streak against lower level players. It's nuts! I then proceed to go win 30-3 in my online franchise. I see nothing predictable or scripted in this game.

I just dont like certain things that happen in the game... A couple days ago I'm playing a buddy of mines, and the game is 0-0 and I am moving the ball on him with ease, and then randomly I fumble. He picks it up, i stop him again 3 and out. He punts, I receive, Fumble. Long story short all his points (7) came off a pick 6. But In the game I had like 4 fumbles. Now how realistic is that?

Earlier today I'm playing this dude online, and Im at the 22 I kick a field goal, they call holding. Now i get pushed back missed the FG, I would have been up 3-0... score still 0-0, I get a pick and score. Now i'm up 7-0 (should be up 10-0) next I stop him again, marching down the field, kicking FG from the 31, they call holding again. Backs me up I miss the FG again... Should have been up 13-0. But i'm only up 7-0.

I dont feel its scripted but they heavily favor somebody, I dont know if its the USER or the TEAM.

Another game i played... I was the Chargers, now the QB threw like 5 passes that were thrown to Jammer, and Cromartie... Its only Cromartie or Jammer going for the Ball receiver is all out of the play. They dont get the interception. Problem? I throw one bad pass, and LB one hand catches it, and goes to the house with it. Now you telling me Jammer, and Cromartie cant catch balls directly thrown to them, and some MLB (i think it was Jon Vilma) can just one hand catch and turn on the AP speed boosters to the house, and LT cant catch him...

I just dont understand whats going on.

I think all sports games have that unsaid comeback factor, they want you to have fun every game if possible. It's all about making the consumers enjoy the game, though they should realize that not all consumers are blinded by the fun of close games. Some of us realize that the auto comeback thing is sometimes a bit fake and unrealistic.

It's not gonna stop me from liking and playing Madden 10 but sports games in my eyes still do no truly represent sports. I'm not sure they exactly ever will, so I'll be happy with what there is and not stress it to much. I don't feel like it happens all the time but I definitely get the feeling sometimes.

Come back AI is in the game for sure. CPU can't do diddly the entire game then in the 4th it's all about no huddle, perfect passes, and a quick score.


Don't get me started on the onside kicks in this game.


I still like the game though. Just frustrating at times.


I used to be able to tell if the cpu cheats or not with a simple test (on PS2). I would choose fake FG and watch as the defense came out of the huddle and start making adjustments for it. Then I would audible back to a normal FG and watch the defense go back to normal FG defense.


Not one player on my team would move but the cpu would just know. Haven't tried it this gen.
