Update on the Madden SI offer per cusotmer service 8/23/09

It said mine was sent on Aug 29th, and I still haven't received it(as of Sept 1st). Hoping to see it in the mail tomorrow or the following day.

I am so glad that I went this route. I know I waited 17 days past release but, I only spent $49.99 and I actually read SI. This was the deal of the year for me.

To those of you who received the game, how is it shipped? By USPS, UPS, FedEx? Did you have to sign for receipt of the game? Or do they simply leave it in your mailbox?

I think mine was USPS, it was left in my mailbox and I did not have to sign.

You couldn't have possibly thought you would immediately receive it... A LOT of people jumped on this deal, so it comes as no surprise to me that there's such a delay on shipping. Maybe it's reasonable to think they were going to ship them the same day as the release, as it did say that they wouldn't ship earlier than the release date, but it's a first come, first serve deal.

Everyone that ordered it will eventually get it. And they still get a better deal than others. But if you're an impatient person, you really should have known better. Did I order it? Yes. Do I wish I'd gotten it the week of its release? Of course. But I'm also a cheap-a$$. Like a few other people here. It's a good deal, and there's no way to argue that. So don't act as if you've been deceived or wronged in any way. Now maybe since you act as if you were previously unaware of the possibility of a delayed shipment, now you'll know in the future that there's always a potential catch. I'm fine with it because I knew there would be possibilities of a delay. But it is what it is. If you're that desperate, go rent it until you receive it. Even with the $5-10 you put down to rent it, you're still getting an undeniably good deal when you factor in the rental fee. Just stop whining. The point of this thread is to track the current shipping trends and whatnot.

So let's get back to the issue at hand, who has received their games? How long did it take to get it once it was reported shipped via the SI Customer Service website? When can they expect to receive their own games? People aren't coming to this thread to listen to people ranting because they're impatient. And I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular, but if you're going to post in this thread, post a message with some information.
