Quite possible. Considering every year there is a new gaping flaw with regards to simulated stats.

I normally don't wait, but I am this year. The tackles alone make it hard. Also, flipping through franchise options and doing some simming to check things out, I was disappointed to find their are limited options for coaches (where's Shanahan, Gruden, etc...they'll likely be back in real life). Also, editing limitations frustrate me.

Anyway, back on track...the stats do bug me a bit and I'll be hoping that patches address some of these and the more glaring gameplay issues, before I pick the game back up and give franchise a go.

Only once since 1992 have I not played Madden year round and that was 08 because the sims stats were so bad it completely ruined the franchise experience. Despite all the complaints, they did nothing to fix the issue that year, so I'm very concerned that they wont this year either. As a dedicated chiser, the sim engine issues are a total game killer and I wish that someone, anyone from EA would give a press release about the patch so I could decide whether or not this game is worth my continuesd time or if I should just go back to playing The Show. I dont want to waste time on a "practice franchise" if the issues are never going to be resolved.
