Hit sticking aint cheese... if you know what you're doing against it, it's an opportunity.

If you know how to use it properly, it's deadly.

Make it a point to master both.

R1 is your friend.

If you play on XBOX, then I guess RB is your friend

The standard dive tackle for Xbox360 is useless on Madden 10. I have to use hit stick all the time now.

my thoughts exactly. i use hit stick all the time, and ive only forced 1 fumble so far. it doesnt seem overpowered to me at all. i play offline though...maybe its ramped up online

I only play offline Franchise with a slight reduction to the fumble slider for greater realism.

I'd like to have the standard tackle back again so hopefully they'll make it more effective in future (via patch or more likely Madden 11).

Re: Hitstick Warriors, cheese?

Not cheese at all. You've got to plan your ball carrying route so that you don't get hit head on with a big hit. Only the head on hit that looks like the dude Goldberg spears you causes alot of fumbles. Well, that one, and the one where he slows down, lines you up, and hits helmets with you. Those 2 animations are all about the angle you get hit at though. Don't get hit at that angle, don't fumble.

In my opinion, the only thing cheesy about the hitstick is having your screen shake. Please EA, get rid of it or keep it in the lower playing difficulties (Rookie and PRO).
