Madden 10 Shows Strength in September

Once again, my point is that the PS2 game is the same game. No madden 10 is not the same as 06-09 on current consoles because--those games were terrible and sales reflected that. Madden 10 is ok. That all EA needs.

Blocking sucks, pursuit angles are still bad, online franchise has no contracts,caps or anything franchise related. This great, adjusting AI can be beaten with crossing and drag routes all day long, the flats are exploitable almost every play, oline ratings don't mean much once the player is 60 or below, but as long as it's the "best" game to date and it sells lots of copies it won't be fixed because EA won't need to if people are willing to settle and buy it every year anyways.

I've read this same story every year and every year, even during the year on the next-gen(patches/updates) fixes occur.

So to say it won't be fixed is not holding much weight to me.
I know you would love to see Madden ranked as the worst sports game, but remember.

We need more people showing restraint and trying out games before they buy them, not buying these items on a whim and then claiming their money was taken from them. It's ridiculous at this point. Only from the video gamer, as well.

Yes, if you dont like something generally you will not buy it. A lot of us fall for the hype each year and some of us buy it out of habit, and some just to have a new football game play.

I am some of the 2nd type and alot of the 3rd type. You hope against hope the game is gonna be great and then you find out here we go again.

Frankly Pasta's article is disappointing to me. I enjoyed madden till 09 on ps3 but don't care for the game as much as I did 3 years ago on ps2. Strong sales means people are settling for less in my opinion and that's what we will continue to get.


The patches occur because the games so far on these systems have been bad or had major issues. Once it gets to a level that is satisfactory to most(like they did around madden 06 on the old consoles) you won't see any major changes or implements.

Why do you think I would love to see madden ranked as the worst sports game? I've bought madden, 2k, tecmo bowl, gameday and whatever else every year. I would love to see madden play a decent game of football, but I would also like to see another company come in and look at the sport from a new point of view and take the genre to a new level cause I know it can be done just like madden and 2k did with 05 and tecmo super bowl did in their day.

I belive that time is coming sooner rather than later. The makers of Backbreaker(Naturalmotion) are really doing things that have never been done in a football game. Look em up!

Anyway that is something that could be discussed in further detail on another thread.
