The game, with sliders, play s great on the field now, but they just destroyed sim stats.

I was hoping this was a case of peeps on the board going overboard, but it is true. The amount of yardage and YPC by backs is just crazy. I would MUCH rather have the old stat system than this mess. Im not sure why they thought it was okay.

am i the only one who notices they didnt fix the KO returns... I use San Fran and signed some guy out of FA name Michael Ray Garvin (speed97) and i had 12 return touchdowns... sometimes 3 in 1 game

I don't get how you do it, cause I've only ever returned 1, and my guys speed is 98. I play on the default settings. Almost every time I run past a blocker, he just breaks off and tags me.

I must be doing something wrong I guess.

Patch #2 did fix the KO return issue. You must be legendary or something. Stop it. The chicks will think you're on steroids.

Well, I just finished one season with patch 2. Took the Bucs and won the Super Bowl. And if I can have 15-20 returns for TD's with the Bucs, then I think it's obviously still not fixed. Plus, after the second patch there remains a slew of bad glitches.

1) I just tried to save a highlight for a TD, and the highlight cut off when the ball was in mid flight
2) There still is the occasional play where a DB will not blitz the QB, and instead turn and start moving the other way
3) The refs decisions on whether or not the ball is caught in or out of bounds is now horrendous after the second patch. They are now clearly wrong most of the time. I can't believe EA is going to leave it the way it is and not at least fix this blunder with another patch
4) Penalties are occasionally called, but not shown
5) The dreaded running hitch which came about after the first patch and which seems to drop frame rates is still there
6) Really obvious TD's and first downs are still mulled over by the refs with no way to turn it off (At least they get these right unlike all the sideline or back or side of the end zone calls)
7) Play too many games in a row within a franchise and you risk the game freezing on you and losing all progress to that point
8) I have defensive pass interference turned up all the way and I had two calls all season long.

Plus, who decided the following was a good idea?
1) The CPU calling a timeout whenever the clock hits 1:01
2) Going into a dramatic close up of a field goal or extra point when there is still almost 7 minutes left in the game

I still think that EA should fix what's wrong with the gameplay. EA has yet to match the gameplay and features that old gen Madden had, and after all this time that's just sad.

not for me it didn't. before i stopped playing i could return KO's every time it was kicked, i had to employ house rules and just run out of bounds during ko's.

I still have a hard time gettin my wideouts involved in the game. Could just be that I'm not seeing them when they're open, but I've played 6 games in my new season, and my TE and RB are leading my team in catches by a pretty big margin.

your wrs are open but for a short period of time you have to hit them with short passing it could be your recievers aren't that fast so its harder for them to be open
