Undrafted Players

Does anyone ever pick up the players that say will be undrafted in the draft? Has anyone had any sucess stories on that. Also does Madden ever have Undrafted Free Agent Gems?

I only see undrafted gems in EA's draft classes. I remember once i picked an undrafted CB and LG, and to my amazement the LG had A potential and was 68 ovr, and the CB had B potential with a 65 OVR. I intially picked them to meet the requirements for their respective position and to save on cap space. So its safe to say you should pick a few in the 6th-7th round and just see if you can get anything.

There are quite a few 70 and 80+ players marked as undrafted with A or B potential with the EA draft classes.

You're going to find a ton of good SS and FS in late rounds.

In the imported class drafts every undrafted player is F potential and like a 50 something. Also for some reason if they go undrafted they don't always show up in the free agency pool. I have had this problem a few times. But I did take Dan LeFevour once with my 7th round pick and played him during blowouts and preseason and he actually played better than his ratings.

I've picked up a strong safety that was 80+ ovr with A potential, and he was supposed to go undrafted. Only reason I drafted him, was because he had a monster skill graph.

I picked up a WR with a 60 something overall but he had 80 something catch in traffic and 99 spectacular catch. He had low 80 speed with like a 50 route running and had good run moves. Only a D potential but he played 5th string WR and almost never dropped a key 3rd and long pass. Not exactly a star player but he was a key utility player for several years in my franchise.
