Yea, kicking game is way too easy once you learn to bring the joystick straight back and not to veer the arrow to much. I'm incline to just reset the controller to AI when time for field goals. I cant think when the last time I missed a kick left or right..

Re: Punters vs Kickers

The trick is to ease up on the stick and bring it up slowly when you're aligning the kick.

If you're slow and methodical with your "upswing," you will basically never miss a kick because of accuracy issues

This tactic doesn't work in All Pro Football because the velocity of your "upswing" doesn't just determine accuracy, but also, the strength of the kick.

So you can't get away with just "easing up" on the stick when it comes to kicking in APF because the kick power is determined by how much velocity you generate with your upswing.

On the other hand, shouldn't it be based more on the kicker than the difficulty of the game?

^^^ Either way, kicking is way too easy. I can consistently knock down 60 yard FGs, after dropping a lot of the special teams sliders.

Why can't it be both?

All Pro Football had it right.

Kicking with generics was truly a challenge from 40-50 yards. Legend kickers had a bit more leeway depending on the tier and abilities.

Re: Punters vs Kickers

I think that a P/K last year handled both duties for FSU

Gano maybe?

Whatever his name is he was the K only to start the year, but I watched a late game last season where he put 3 punts in a row inside the 5!!!

I don't know why teams are not looking for 1 guy to handle both!!!

If i was a coach/GM i would love to free up a roster spot by having one guy do both - I would imagine (though I don't know) that if you can kick FGs you can punt - now maybe the two work against each other from a technique standpoint so much that at the NFL level they just have two guys, or in my teams case 3 as they have 1 guy who just does KOs!

Re: Punters vs Kickers

If your guy has 99 kicking power, you can make a 64 yarder, you will never miss
