Icon3 The Ultimate Idea - Catching In Madden 11

i thought this would be an good idea for catching in madden 11.

in madden when you play i can have a offensive lineman play for me and still catch every pass and thats stupid and the passing in madden to be honest was really boring and it needed some life, so i thought of an idea.

when the quarterback throws the ball to the wide out there is bar, like the kicking bar and you have to hold the catch button and let go at the perfect time for a good catch.

so when you have guys like Fitz, moss, cj, Marshall, boldin and other great receivers in your team, you actually feel like there on your team because when they play in a game it is easier for them catch the ball because when they go up for the catch the bar will go slowly and it is easier to get timing for a good catch right.

and when you have bad receivers in your team the bar will go fast and quick, hence harder to catch the ball for them so you actually feel like he is a crap player.

this will work like the kicking system in madden, a good kicker bar will go slowly and you can get good timings and score the field goal, however the bad kickers bar will go fast and quick therefor making it harder to kick the field goal.

so i hope you guys like my idea...and it would be good if ea can put this as an optional because some people might not like it.

sounds kinda cool, but what about smokes routes screen, slants that are all quick dropback and throws, there wouldn't be enough time to hold a bar and time the catch

Please, no. Personally, I enjoy watching the gameplay much more than meters.

While I'm here, please remove the meter from the kicking game.

Thank you

No more meters...PLEASE. While i will agree the passing game DESPERATELY needs a jolt somewhere. Passing is just SO simple that it is not enjoyable. EVERY WR is pretty much the same...as is just about EVERY QB....There is ZERO timing required...the "lead' system is pretty useless...and WR have the Awareness of a pop warner player.

For the small amount of improvement in M10...There are still too many areas to list where the game is an utter disaster...IMHO... and WAY beyond actually fixing to the point where the game actually plays better.

Pure cosmetic changes for Madden 11 is what is see coming in august. That and a "dumbed down" version.

That is what Pete Moore and EA want isnt it?

"Freaking Hilarious"! (Jim Rome).

I wish there was a difference between the Randy Moss' and platoon WR
however there isn't much. While a 'catch meter' sounds good, with EA's
track record of implementing the 'passing cone', not a good track record.
