Re: Do you believe catching really will be fixed?

It won't be fixed, i expect to see the exact same catching animations really...with a few added. Until they get physics and momentum right can they really say catching will be fixed. Along with that, they need to spice up the precision passing. I would like to drop it on the back shoulder or throw a low pass that my receiver has to fall for, while possibly sliding backwards.

Catching has to be one of the hardest things to fix in a football. I mean, think of all the crazy catches you see every year. not every catch is the same...<<< saying that reminded me of back breaker coming out soon

Do I believe they are fixing alot these issues with catching with the debug tool?? In a way yes I believe that are fixing alot stuff that is currently wrong. But I ain't going to jump all over Ian and crew come release day if the game still has some old bugs. But aleast with this new debug tool that they now can fix alot of these problems with the catching animations and so on to make the game better then it is currently. Will it be bug are glitch free. No it want. That is with any game in the gaming world. It's life.

No it's just to many people want Ian and his crew to add every little thing you see on sunday and still do a good job on gameplay within a 9 month period. People think adding coding into a computer is a easy job and all. But the truth of it is that it's alot harder then people think. People are just never happy no matter what Ian and crew does.

Then stop charging $60 for it.

I loathe the defence that they don't have enough time... well then the game isn't worth the same as a game developed for 2-3 years. 9 months of dev time shouldn't be $60 for the consumer if you can't give me the same level of completely new content found in a 2-3 year project, which also usually costs $60.

Just because it's a "video game" doesn't make it worth what all other video games are worth. Most of the content in a yearly sports game is recycled from previous versions, this is how it is.

Stop charging us like they've spent 3 years creating this or invest less into commercials and more into the product to make better use of the shortened time if they don't have the additional resources available.

That's just how I see it when people claim we should "lay off" because of shortened development time.

I would wish people wouldn't buy these games EVERY year because the truth is that they simply aren't worth the value if you look at other $60 valued titles and the NEW content they can provide.

This won't change because it's obviously profitable for the company, but this is the truth of it.

Well bro there is a thing call renting it first. It ain't like Ian and EA putting a gun to your head and made you buy it. I know EA has had a few bad years now. But madden 10 started them back on the right track. Try renting it before you buy it bro. EA ain't forcing no one to buy it. Plus we people on this website that is a very small fraction of people that buy the game in this world.

You don't understand my point what so ever.

Whether I, or anyone, like the title or not, has nothing to do with the fact that I'm pointing out the difference in level of new content between a yearly sports title and other games.

But ok. Whatever.

Well if pro tak for Madden 10 was anything to go by then you would assume the catching will be fixed but still has some quirks in the system.

Matter of wait and see and crossing our fingers its fixed and works properly.
