Help needed...just bought Madden and I've run into a serious glitch...

I just tried to play my first game on Madden and I have a serious glitch issue. On the kick off, the players are zooming all over the screen, disappearing and reappearing etc. It's the strangest thing I have ever seen on an Xbox game. I was receiving the kick off and my return guy disappeared before the ball go there. On first down, the same stuff happened. Obviously something is seriously wrong. Have you guys heard of this issue before? What to I need to do to fix this?

Woah. I've never heard of something like that happening in madden in my life. You possibly have a defective game and you should try to return it and get another one. That's the only advice i have. Otherwise....Enjoy your game!

Obviously you should take it back to where you bought it and exchange for a new copy, but it made me laugh.

Thanks for the help guys. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen on an xbox game. I took it back to best buy and swapped it. The new copy appear to work perfectly.

I spoke too soon. It worked for a few plays and then went back to doing the same thing.

I bought the game yesterday afternoon. I tried it in practice mode for a few minutes and it worked fine. Then I downloaded a roster update from one of the guys on this site. I followed the instructions provided in the Madden rosters forum on using a USB to mod the xbox to update the roster. Is it possible that by doing that it has caused this problem? Obviously none of the guys on that forum have said anything about this kind of problem, but that is the only possible cause I can think of at this point.

maybe u got some bad patches or something. i would delete the patches and redownload them. maybe that will help since swapping discs wasnt the issue.

I've cleared the cache, wiped the HD, and tried using a flash drive as a storage device. I have re-DL's the patch numerous times and it continues to screw up.

If I run the game with no storage device, it appears to work ok. Any ideas on why it would work without a storage device, but not with one? Thoughts on how to fix this?
