Re: Madden 11 Demo- IGN E3 Live

Did anyone else notice that running backs still block defenders into the QB? This really gets under my skin in Madden. Whether you call for your back to block inside or outside, the back picks up the block momentarily, and then nudges the defender directly toward the QB.

Not to mention, you still have to execute on the field no matter if you using GP/GF or not.
well unless you forgot, "Simpler, Quicker, Deeper" is the M11 slogan, and gameflow is what EA advertised to make the game simpler. still don't like the idea of them thinking they needed to simplify the game imo.

Yep, sure did. There was even a nice slo mo replay to confirm that he did it lol.

Also, to stop the "OS is the minority" stuff that gets spouted whenever someone complains about something, I ask everyone to please read the comments for this vid. Because, unless a whole bunch of OS members posted comments, it looks like a lot more people feel the same way about Madden as the majority of OS does. You will see this stuff in the comments for just about any vid that gets released for Madden. We need to stop this "OS is the minority" stuff.

I guess they added a ton of replays this year..It seems like after almost every play they have 1-2 replays(even on 2 yard gains..The best presentation thing I saw was the they replayed the touchdown even after the xp (on the the Thomas toss TD) and they showed the correct guy on the sideline (the guy who scored the TD, not the kicker) celebrating during the drive summary...The worst presentation thing I saw (and I saw in an earlier video as well), is when Addai gets tackled they show a cut screen of Thomas (Thomas-Saints RB) on the sideline...Just makes no sense to me

The players sure do drink a lot in the cut-scenes - did Gatorade pay for extra Madden advertising?

Will we see more "Chompetition" ads? Or those annoying pop-up ads on the score tickers?

Re: Madden 11 Demo- IGN E3 Live

Anyone who reads my posts know, I'm hard on football games. Theres still a lot to criticize about this game, I wont argue that, but I want to share some big positives which really were noticed by me when I watched this video:

I really think that Madden is slowly turning into more of a 2k style gameplay, and I like it. This year, I really noticed some annimations and player movements that remind me of apf2k8. Just pay close attention to the players movements and you will see it. I wasnt able to pick up on it as much until this HD video. Maybe its just because its a newer build were seeing, I don't know.

The player models are leaps and bounds better this year according to this video. I really liked NCAA 11's player models, and I feel Maddens look much MUCH improved as well.

The announcer is better, but I agree with the majority that have said the method EA uses for there commentators is horrible and is what makes them all sound like robots.

I cant say theres much of a presentation upgrade in this video, because I just really dont understand the EA sports logo's instead of the NFL, or espn logo, but thats just my personal opinion. There probably not showing a lot of scenes to make it feel fresh when the game releases.
