Wes Welker is the best receiver in the NFL, if he had the skill set that Andre Johnson has he would be be competing with Jerry Rice for the best receiver of all time. The dude is 5-9 and the toughest sob on the field.

You are a straight up clown. Wes Welker the best WR in the NFL? You serious? He is NOT even a #1 WR. Take the primary target on the Pats, aka Randy Moss off the field, Welker gets locked up. He is a GREAT role player, a great slot WR. He picks on nickel DB's and safety's. He wouldn't even get off the LOS if he was on Revis Island. There is a reason whoever the Pats play the top DB plays opposite Moss and not Welker.

Calvin is about right I'd probably give him a point or two extra but Its good... Hopefully he proves he is the best wide reciever in the league this year, which he is, he just hasn't proved it yet.

Welker is the best SLOT receiver in the NFL for sure, but even as a Pats homer, I must admit that he wouldn't make it as a #1. The only reason is his lack of straight-line speed, though.

Hey wheres the infraction for name calling? This guy called me a clown.
Do I truly believe he is the most dangerous WR? Nah, too small, not fast enough, he basically doesn't have the athleticism to be the greatest.

But if were talking about pure fundamentals of the WR position and all the intangibles involed --than yes he is the best WR in the game. He just doesn't have the athleticism to be a Randy Moss (obviously).

He only had what, 40 more catches than moss, and more yards...a great slot receiver, gimmie a break. He had 16 more catches than the closest guy and was second in yards--more than Moss and more than every other player on this list besides Andre Johnson.

So #1 in receptions and #2 in yards...hes simply a great slot receiver. Ya whatever. A great role player led the lead in receptions and was second in yards.... And this is despite the fact hes small, and not especially athletic, and is not a deep threat. So basically hes limited and yet still unstoppable.

Its easy for a 6-6 guy with outstanding athleticism to make plays.

I think you have it backwards, without Welker on the field teams can double team Moss and shut him down. The reason they put Revis on Moss is because he goes deep, and that can potentially be stopped. It would be a waste of time to have Revis try and stop what Welker does. Can't be done.

Moss's numbers in last years playoff game with Welker injured.

btw my gamertag is ellis1484. I would take great pleasure in beating you silly on the field.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Player Ratings: Top 10 WR's

I feel the only 90's on that list should be Andre, FItz, Marshal and Wayne...Thats it!

WAY too many high 90 rated players in the game if you ask me....90 or higher should only be for the best of the best.

I am a Pats fan and feel Moss should only be an 88 and welker maybe a 90 due to his Route running, speed and hands....

If i had my way, there would only be 20 90 or higher players in the game overall...

But ratings really dont mean that much overall anyway, so lets see how the game actually plays.
