Those listed as well as several I am forgetting always made Madden a trade-in or ebay-bound before the season even began. Last year it was a jump forward, IMO but after the demo I am just not feeling it. I want NFL football bad.....but not bad enough to pull the trigger. I still have NCAA and The Show.

Sorry John
I'm loving all the good feelings for NCAA this year. I feel exactly the same way as this post. I will probably buy Madden 12 if the focus on franchise mode is added back in, but I haven't enjoyed Madden since it has been on xbox 360.

Preset draft classes just kills it for me. My roommate in college played so much madden that after scouting a few guys he would know the draft class and know who the stars were, diamonds in the rough were, etc. etc. I never enjoyed a video game more, though, than the old days of Madden where I would play all those training camp mini games. That was so fun to me. I just can't give up hope on Madden completely! I can't! I hate to say it, but NCAA and FIFA look to be the only titles I'm getting this year.

It's also very funny that most of us are actually bigger NFL Fans than college football fans and we play the piss out of NCAA 11 and think Madden is meh. I bleed red and pewter, and I'd die to have a good mode to rebuild my Buccaneer squad on, but Madden just doesn't quite cut it anymore.

With that said, NCAA 11 is the best football simulation from a pure gameplay standpoint ever created. If you don't mind me I have to go lead my star recruit and the Toledo Rockets to their first bowl game under my regime.

Re: Buying or Skipping Madden 11?

I was directed to this thread to ask whether or not I should buy Madden 11. On it's release date I purchased NCAA 11 and was stoked for the first few days. Then the issues within Dynasty cropped up and my play time diminished. Admittedly, I am a much bigger fan of the NFL than NCAA football, but it made me wonder. Should I get Madden 11 if I am going to suffer the same let down? So I am asking all owners of Madden 11, is it worth me buying, right now, today?

Re: Buying or Skipping Madden 11?

I voted Undecided so I rented it first

after playing it firsthand now..

this is a definite PASS NO BUY on my part

Madden 10 is so far better than 11 it's insane

....I'm a special case though, I basically took an entire year off if you will because i was not at all able to play Madden 10

and the updated rosters/etc isnt a problem since i grabbed the post-draft franchise file

so yea, 10 is better than 11, how can EA take a step back is beyond me

Re: Buying or Skipping Madden 11?

How in the world can you say 10 is better than 11? From the graphics, animations, locomotion and vastly improved run blocking the only thing I can think of that 10 does better than 11 is the special teams aspect.

you think the GRAPHICS are better? seriously...?

do you see the field? at all???

animations are not better, there's just newer animations aka locomotion

if I were to be brutally honest, there's only 1 thing 11 has over 10 ... the frequency of replays during in-game play

I like replays, 10 doesnt do replays, it seems, at all, while 11 does it, almost... every play

lol

but otherwise, I can't even begin to take you seriously when you say stuff like 11's graphics are better than 10's.
