I could really care less about the lighting. It's a nice addition to the NCAA game but, I'm ok with it not being in.

Re: Madden fans are really going to miss progressive lighting

yeah, I agree with others in this thread....please don't add progressive lighting, we don't want it......it hurts my eyes.

seriously though...
why are the ones who don't want Madden to progress, the most vocal ones here on operation sports....I wish others would speak up.

if you are a person who cares about a realistic representation of the sport.....progressive lighting is part of that.....

I'm a football gamer who doesn't care about franchise.....but I don't go out of my way to post in a "Madden Franchise" thread to say....we don't need that......because I know that is also part of the big picture in representing the NFL, and it is important for others.

its not like this is a CRAZY new feature that would take sooo much time and take away from developing other aspects of the game.

we have had this before.......and our sister football game has it as well.

The fact that the gameplay in both games is practically identical, the progressive lighting swayed me this year to get NCAA over Madden, a first for me. Even though its only a small thing, its 1 more thing that Madden doesn't have.
If you havn't seen it before then you wouldn't really know and appreciate how nice of an addition it is to a game, even though its not huge, it does make a difference.

even in Madden during the PS2 days it looked oh so good.....you really felt like you were playing a Primetime game......I couldn't wait to get to the second half.

having dynamic weather would also add alot.

Oh definitely, dynamic lighting is the 'next step' if you will. And I certainly wouldn't be surprised, and would be very happy, to see the NCAA team include it next year, providing they keep up the progression that they have made from NCAA 10 to 11.

Once again a big FAIL for Tiburon. Progressive lighting was in NFL 2k5. Also, why isn't it shared code between Madden and NCAA? Embarrassing...

its not code. It's art....you have to build each stadium for each phase of the setting sun (this is how MLB the show DEV's described it anyway).

2k system was good on that gen of systems, but seeing how good SONY does it with this gen it needs more 'love' if you will

yes, but the logic which handles the change in the lighting should be shared code. The UI is a separate implementation that cannot be shared, but it should have been implemented. You'll never convince me that Tiburon's developers are very capable when it comes to working on multiple facets of football. I like the fact that Madden is improving gameplay wise, but it's not enough of an improvement. This should have been in every Madden game this gen.
