You simply CANNOT setup exotic nanos and move a ton of defensive players into every gap if your human opponent in ranked and unranked games snaps the ball immediately. It's impossible to pull it off period, I don't care if you've mastered the d-pad. You simply won't have time to pull it off if your human opponent snaps the ball immediately.

Again there are better ways to eliminate exploits but this is EA's solution. So for everyone asking why?, saying things like I hate it, I can't believe...etc. Read my post on page 20 of this thread. Hopefully everyone will understand why it's in the game now. You may not like it but it's EA's solution.
What makes you or EA think that no one will find a way to exploit the system? If a human really wants to exploit a video game, with enough time and will power, it will happen. There is always a work around or an exploit. There are even people on OS already saying they can make a number of pre-snap adjustments, so if they can do it, cheesers can do it.

Re: Official Strategy Pad Discussion Thread

I want to ask this question with the understanding that my question may be considered "cheese" but I almost never play online, and my technique was my answer for a pass rush.

Ok, last year I would control a DL(usually a DE) pre-snap I'd press triangle then press L3 down & R3 right and also hold R2(turbo) Im not sure which action(thinking triangle) frooze the defense.

At the snap I would release R3 and just before my defender engaged with a blocker I would use the R3(pass rush stick) and flick to the right or left and would be able to get a good/great pass rush.

Seems to me that from what Im reading this new strategy pad approach along with the removal of the turbo button(which Im ok with) may have elimenated my pass rush technique.

Anyone know if basically you can still freeze a defender?
or if they know and have used this technique I described if its do-able this year?

Thanks guys for your knowledge and info

Re: Official Strategy Pad Discussion Thread

In regards to the strategy pad, "love takes time", keep the pad and in do time, people will come to appreciate it. You shouldn't be able to drop every lineman into coverage, then change your linebackers, and safety's assignment in a matter of seconds. That's not "sim", so the pad should only allow one, maybe two adjustments. No, the described adjustments don't take stick skill either.

Ive spent a bunch of time with it and its still slower and less responsive then before, its a fact

and until EA adds legit Defensive Playbooks that give the teams their own Identity.....The multiple changes are needed IMO

Ive listed why earlier in this thread

I just feel like we are being punished for their lack luster coding if that stuff about "Strategy Pad=Intended to cut cheesing" is true

Fine then I want the ability to move the Qb taken out because some people scramble around with Vick unrealistically......Heck why stop there....might as well take out all user movement of the players

Can't have Users manually cutting back through holes that real RBs wouldn't be able to see now can we......lol

See where this type of Band-aid logic could lead us
