Re: Ultimate Team

143 coins? Something must be bugged. I played my second game of MUT, this time against the computer using custom sliders and it was counted as an all-pro game. My team is a 71 OVR right now, so I played against an evenly match KC Chiefs. I used custom sliders and the game was counted as All-Pro. I used 15min quarters and lost 24-20. I earned a little over 600 coins.

It was a lot of fun, but very frustrating at the same time. My starting HB is only a 66 OVr with like 65 carry. He fumbled twice and dropped two key third down passes without getting hit. I was using coach mode [auto passing] and three times Matt Lienart [whom I bought to improve my team for around 3,500 coins] launched the ball deep to D. Hayward-Bay who dropped two and didn't try for the third. All of those passes could have been scores. It felt realistic as two evenly matched "bad" teams played a game that came down to the wire.

However, as others have said, I don't get the impression that you earn enough coins to really build an "ultimate team." I mean, sure I have some contract extensions laying around to resign Matt Leinart [gold tier QB] and a few other "key" players, but after that I don't know how things are going to work out, or what the "optimal" method is for improving your team.

I am guessing you are "supposed" to try and only use contract extensions on your "star players" and use the coins you earn to buy bronze and silver packs at first to gain more contract extension cards and players to fill out your roster as contracts expire, and sell cards for coins in the auction house. then, as you accumulate coins, you can bid on additional stars or buy platinum/ultimate packs to try and add more "stars" to your team. In the end, if I play my cards right [pun intended] I should be able to grow my team over time along with accumulating coins. I will be playing the computer from now on though for sure. I could care less if I win or lose against the computer, as long as it remains fun.

Re: Ultimate Team

Has this one happened to anybody else here?

I played MUT H2H on 3 separate occasions, went 2-1. But at the end of all the games, the screen just kind of went black. You could still hear everything, it just totally froze. I don't think they were quitting, because it happened on the game I lost, and the guy even messaged me "gg".

But other than that, I'm addicted to this mode.

Re: Ultimate Team

Three questions:

1. What happens when a guys contract expires? Can you keep him with a contract of 0 and decide to give him a new contract later or if his contract hits 0 is the card not usable anymore?

2. When renewing a guy's contract... say he has a game left on his contract and you give him a 6 game deal... do the games add up to 7 or just 6 overall?

3. What is the highest rated player card you have on your team? I'm wondering if the real star player cards are even out there. I wasted coins on the top tier pack and got no one over 90. No big name players.

.

1. No clue, I have four games to go before my whole team expires and I dont have enough $$$ for contract cards.

2. I did try this and it adds on to what is left so if he has one game left and he gets six more it will say he has seven left.

3. I am thinking EA is controlling the release of the cards, with the exception of the Doritos cards I havnt seen a real "star card" either nor do I believe I have seen any rookie cards.

1. You can keep him in your deck and decide to renew him later

2. /\ /\

3. James Butler, an 80 safety. Also Zach Miller, TE with an 83 rating, as well as J. Hardwig, a C rated 81.

I've completed 3 sets, and almost have a couple more. But as far as player cards go, quality ones are definitely few and far between. Most effective and economical way to maintain a team for me is to almost do a complete reverse of your depth chart. Use up the contract games and earn coins with your scrubs, while replenishing them with cheap packs and the occasional platinum to upgrade your team. Fill out your easy collections for a nice coin boost, and after you're done with that, auction off your doubles. I bought a gold pack and pulled a stadium card that I sold for 2500 and a uniform card that I sold for 2000. Almost paid for the whole pack.

Re: Ultimate Team

Just pulled these from an Ultimate pack. Cost: 21,000 coins.

CB Richard Marshall, Panthers, 82 OVR
C Justin Hartwig, Steelers, 81 OVR (Got doubles now, gonna use 1 up and collect it)
QB Vince Young, Titans, 79 OVR
RG Roberto Garza, Bears, 79 OVR
WR Kevin Walter, Texans 78 OVR
RE Jarvis Green, Broncos 78 OVR
LOLB Bryan Thomas, Jets 77 OVR
DT Colin Cole, Seahawks 76 OVR
Dolphins Away Uni (Gone through a couple of these now)
Panthers Stadium (Got tons of these already)
Pats D Playbook
Gold Contract Extension

I would probably have to call that the best pack I've ever had, sadly enough.
