O.O No pressure or anything. Hey, this game was planned out long before I got here.

Ian had a big hand in the direction of Madden 12, but other posts are right. There are a lot of people involved. Cam, for instance, is a great addition that's going to help us keep this momentum. Ian deserves a lot of credit, but his departure doesn't change what we're working toward.

I obviously don't know what goes on behind closed doors at Tiburon, but my belief is that his early departure, and the direction of 12, could possibly be related.

I, personally, wouldn't be worried about this.

The game was nearly finished when his departure was announced. Not sure how it could be qualified as "early" in the M12 cycle, particularly with regard to the overall direction of the product.

It isn't. He left for the same reason I left my job in Minnesota. Job offer I liked better.

Re: Guys, i'm worried.

I think everyone needs to stop with these Ian posts. The guy had several years to get things right with Madden and wasn't successful. What makes this Madden so much better then Madden 11? I am guessing that it is because you haven't played Madden 12 yet and in your head it sounds and plays great.

The fact is that this turn around doesn't have anything to do with Ian. If he was so great then he would have done with Madden 10 what is being done with Madden 12. I would say that one of Ian's biggest additions to Madden was pro-tak, and we know how that has worked out. Ian had a three year plan, and I guess that his plan was to work on pro-tak for 2 years and then do away with it?

This is not Ian's Madden. As another poster said, EA is putting some good work on their flagship title because the sales are down. I will also guess that there will be some updates to MUT because, from what I have read, they make a fortune off of it. (Not from me)

Anyway, stop acting like Ian was the greatest ever because most of us would argue that the game was better on ps2/xbox then the new generation of consoles.

The game isn't Gold, so I count that as early. If this is the finished product, then Tiburon has some 'splainin to do lol.

I'm sure it was, but the fact that he got an offer he "liked better" meant that there was something about his former job he did NOT like. No one leaves a perfect job, correct?

I, personally, can't help but speculate as to what those reasons are. They may or may not be accurate speculations, but I will still have them lol.

LT;

We work in the same industry, so, there could be a myriad of reasoning's.

A. More $
B. Less Hours

No reasons to speculate on people we don't know personally imho.
