Well said Bronco! People need to understand the are building off a existing product. They are not writing code and building a entire new game from scratch. It will feel like a Madden title, it will have same animations as a madden titles, and it will have similar flaws as a madden title.

Now it will also feature improvements to key areas such as blocking, tackling, presentation, franchise, and couple other smaller areas we all know about. But the thing to keep in mind is that these things are IMPROVEMENTS! So while the game might, look, feel, and even play like older maddens. They are fixing long time issues and improving on the game. I applaud them for coming out and looking like they made legitimate efforts this year for improving the game as the entire package and not one new gimmick feature.

Judging from the spare gameplay clips we've seen I'd have to say that I'm not impressed, but as Broncos86 points out. If you weren't a big fan of Madden 11 you're not going to be super excited.

Presentation, graphics and all that looks fine, but it never bothered me in the first place. Cutscenes used to be a pet peeve of mine, but the new system seems to integrate it a lot better - still hoping for real-time presentation like The Show at one point.

In terms of gameplay (the part that matters the most to me), Madden still need to address some critical issues before it becomes 'my kind' of football game. To me, the passing game is clearly still the old arcade-style we're used to and that I dislike. There's still no procedural awareness (players don't have to see the ball before making adjustments) and momentum in the interaction between linemen and overall movement still isn't respected - I know it's too early to say, but from the kickoff in the Cleveland vs. Ravens demo, it looks like 90 degree, 1 yard turns at full speed are still in the game

In the end, Madden 12 will probably play much like Madden 11. That being said, I really do like the way the defensive line is now able use the speed rush, but I need to see more consistent lineplay before I'm able to judge it properly.

Yeah, those are fair gripes. Things like the NT of a 3-4 not playing properly, momentum quirks, ball trajectory, etc are going to bug people. For me, in regards to the passing game, I just don't want super linebackers who are reacting within 1ms to a pass and making amazing plays all the time. I've hated this ever since the early versions of PS2 Madden. It's never been addressed fully, it's never been fixed. I'm sick of seeing squatting linebackers in zone coverage instantaneously jumping into the air and knocking down passes they have no business knocking down. I need to be able to throw a ball OVER the freakin' Mike LB to my WR who is 10 yards behind the LB.

Well I love what I saw in the eagles/packers game the other day on the upstream. Since I'm a long time 21 year vet with madden and all. I also still play madden11 alot up until now. I'm loving the upgrade in defense and also loving how the offense is playing aswell. But I still have somewhat of a concern with oline/dline interaction. It looked like the oline was giving up on the pass rush blocking at times and allowed the AI to get to the QB to easy. But it could be according to ratings and the new roles and traits aswell. So I guess alot can factor into how the oline play now. But overall I am impressed so far with what I'm seeing out of the gameplay. But really wanting to see more gameplay and all to get a better feel of the gameplay. Hopefully we will get some raw footage from some fans recording it on the floor and will be put onto youtube or something.

Though I see some improvements, it still looks ehhh. Based on my wish lists, they've tackled about 40% of what I feel is important, which is excellent compared to previous years. If they continue at this pace of improvement, I can see me being happy with Madden '13 or so.

Tiered defensive play calling, engaged player mobility and general animation improvement are very high on my list.

mixed about the vids.....i'm loving the pre & post stuff..once the ball is hiked I really have a hard time seeing anything drastically diff from M11 (maybe I shouldnt?).

man i am counting down the days, the gameplay is madden 11, i didnt see any gameplay against the AI, but the footage i saw suggested that its madden 11.5....

but that .5 includes many things that will keep me playing for a while once i get it.
