That's exactly what you see at halftime of football games, either before or after they go to/from their studio guys doing a quick rundown of the other games.

Teams run to the locker room, brief highlights shown, '2nd half coming up!'.

Yeah that's fine with what they had to work with. Some of the camera cuts still need work, however--they aren't realistic at all. I don't know if that is an early-build issue or that's just how it will be, but they definitely need work.

I agree that these are the small scenes you'd see before the actual halftime show, so they can certainly expand on this in future releases.

Re: Maddan 12 Halftime Montage

Yea, replays seem to still be after the ball was thrown or well after it was handed off. I would like to see the TD run/passes be shown from the moment the ball is hiked all the way to the TD.

I feel like i'll be too old to play madden by the time they get it right to really enjoy it for what its worth. I hope this year is that last time we hear "we'll get to that next year" from them since all the tools will finally be in place for presentation, franchise modes, player progression, and all that.

But a fully fleshed out replay system for halftime or just to uploaded to show off, would really be great. Sorry to sound like a complainer, but this gen has lasted for a while and its barely even being touched on after all this time.

Re: Maddan 12 Halftime Montage

In the EA live event at E3 with Ryan Ferwerda he briefly talked about this and said they had NFL Films help them out with the halftime montage and so I think in the final build we will see more td's and big play replays and not two replays and the defensive player pump up scene. I couldn't really ask for more than this for a halftime highlights montage without there being an actual halftime show with four guys and commentary with highlights. Like you guys said, this is exactly what you see on Sundays before the halftime show.

I think they are waiting until they can really do a halftime show the right way and it's probably going to have to be dynamic otherwise I think people will just skip through it after 20 games or so. That being said, I'm expecting it in Madden 13 or 14, no later. Same thing with the commentary, next year or the year after I bet Madden will have some of, if not the best commentary in a sports game. If they keep going to the broadcast guys at CBS, ESPN, FOX, and NFL Films directly then it's inevitable that is what we will end up with.

They have already said that they are going all out for the Super Bowl presentation this year and I felt like they really did a good job of that last year. Cam Weber has a three year plan for Madden and I think when it's all said and done no one is going to ever talk about "that other game" in the same breath as what Madden's going to be, unless they are just blind Madden haters.

It's getting there, I like how they show the players celebrating and what not makes it look more life like in my opinion. Getting with nfl films was a great move things can only get better from here presentation wise. Also I think next year presentation is really going to be top notch especially if they make a big overhaul in the commentary department.

Re: Maddan 12 Halftime Montage

Is it me or does the halftime show have the same generic cut scenes in every one. It shows the team huddle, highlight, then the LB pumping up the crowd, highlight, then the QB fist pump...Again its a good start, ut I think I would rather just see big plays or TDs than the generic cut scenes mixed in

I have only seen about 5 halftime shows so far, but that is what I am basing it off. I know the sample is small but everyone has had the same cut scene
