Madden NFL 12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

It seems like everyone loves the presentation which is very nice and so are the graphics.

But most of the cons are gameplay wise, i.e Super LBs,psychic DB, Gliding/ice skating players, QB tuck and run way too fast and early(they don't even read the defenses).
Madden is very pretty but gameplay is way more important than presentation/graphics.

I went from day one purchase to maybe rental, going to wait for reviews and videos.

The game looks great and plays great, slow the speed down like last years and its golden.

I don't understand all these complaints.. Game's aren't real life.. that is why they are VIDEO games. However, they are suppose to be sim, but there are some things that can't be perfectly sim.

It's ok..... What's weird to me is it plays different than madden years past which is a good thing but it also keeps a lot of the same flaws and plays like madden at the same time. It is a deviation in ways but not enough. The graphics really aren't that great. I'm playing on the 360 and the framerates are meh. The camera is farther away. Cutscenes the framerates drop pretty good. It's a more graphically intense game but it's also not. A lot of bonejarring tackles that just dont seem right. the animations are quicker. It runs faster.

No commentary to my knowledge.

Overall 7/10. Seems like it could be decent fun but not overly impressed. Kind of pathetic considering this is all we get. This game is basically on par with the mlb 2k's of the world. Greedy companies and licensing sucks. What else is new. It's illegal to make a game when they own a license but it's not illegal to do what EA is doing? The world is messed up and we wonder why our economy is in the trash. It's because of douchebags like this.

Put EA in prison. Lock them up. Dirtbags. CRIMINALS.

some of you might think this is a bit extreme. But it's really not. It's the truth. I know they are people just like me. It's not for a lack of me not understanding something. I'm not ranting either. Too many people accept this when they really shouldn't.

A minor gripe:

After a Passing TD, after the PAT, it shows a cut scene where the QB comes to the bench and slaps his WR on the back or something like that but it's always the backup QB that was holding the PAT instead of the QB that actually threw the TD.

I'm not going to touch most of your post other than the sliders....You seem to think everybody has the same skill level...Why? For some it will be to hard and for others to easy and last some will find it just wright.......I wont touch the rest of your post....

Played a couple games:

+ Graphics are jaw-dropping! Grass, player models, blimp cam, camera placements behind kickoffs and field goals, spectacular!

+ Like the dynamic lighting, dirt on the uniforms, and helmet scuffs. Great stuff!

+ better tackling animations and field interactions overall, not much suction

+ Able to get realistic running stats with Forte

+ able to adjust sliders and difficulty in the demo

+ 5 min quarters, able to play all 4 quarters! Thanks EA

+ Opening with Staley and players running out on field, Urlacher with the flag, good stuff there


- A Rodgers looked like Michael Vick, running all the time and too fast

- Super linebackers swatting down passes a la NCAA

- Penalty sliders appeared to have no effect (PI especially as usual)

I was impressed enough though to pick up day 1.

So far:
Graphics are very clean and crisp
Cut scene details are amazing:
dirt and grass stains on the uniforms, ashy marks on black players ( I gotta laugh but I'm serious), shine on helmets, uniform colors are rich but not cartoony colorful
Replays look very nice also.
Decent broadcast feel (need more stat overlays but I understand this is a demo)
Like the slow speed
