Game generally just looks better.

Game play issues of no double hit tackles, tumble weeding, suction blocking, suction tackling seem to be mostly removed and rectified.

Defensive AI is better and the days of living fat off the flats are coming to an end.

The new camera angles are a nice touch.

The cut scene graphic overlays look really sharp.

Nice to see a condensed, no nonsense half time report.

It's nice that we get to play a full standard Madden game (4x's 5 min quarters) in the demo.

On the negative, there are still a number of issues plaguing this game that don't seem to have been addressed via this demo release (such as the realistic representation of speed, agility and acceleration in a stop-start game that the NFL is). There still is some skating and I saw too much morphing. You may call it nitpicky, but IMO for a 20+ year old, exclusive NFL license holding game title to release without up-to-date rosters is insulting. I could go on but I don't want to drag this out.

Back to the positive, kudos to the Tiburon team for steering the Madden ship in a positive direction for the first time in a number of years.

If you're a Madden diehard, based on the demo's game play, there will be a lot for you to like. As a gamer, the demo makes it seem like the full game release is continuing to fall behind the rest of the "sports gaming" marketplace.

As someone who skipped M11 completely, I'm very very impressed with the demo. Definitely buying day 1. Yeah, there are still some flaws, but this is a huge step in the right direction, IMO.

the roster thing, yes, that is entirely too nitpicky, considering players just switched teams around 2 wks ago.

First impressions:
- holy **** peppers arms are stupid big. Looks bad. Same with bj raji
- graphically, it looks very impressive
- pass rush with the 34 was good on all pro.
- CPU hardly ran at all in the two games I played (though neither offense is run heavy in real life)
- LT passing is gone. Holding the trigger and pushing the icon does a pumpfake now.

Excited for the game..

I am going to comment more in impressions for now. Want to hold off on gameplay until I play more.

Enjoy the new NFL Films camera work. One complaint... The shot is never level. Always angled one way or another. On my big tv it really stands out. NFL Films camera men don't always shoot from the hip EA.

What is up with all the pop in? The sidelines have things popping in and out on replays like crazy. The player intros have guys popping in and out at the beginning of the video cuts and at the end. Even re stadium kind of pops details in when the flyover starts. Looks horrible.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)

Loving the game so far. I went with everyones suggestion putting the game speed to slow and TH to 35. It is ok but for me I am LOVING the game on fast keeping the TH at 35. It is so smooth to me anyway and the quickness of players is just what I would expect the football field to be like on Sundays.

Also have read that punt returns are basically very hard to do anything. Well on fast I am seeing much better special teams blocking. I made a quick juke with Hester striaght up the middle of the play, down the sideline for 27 yards. Was one guy pushing me out of bounce from taking it to the house. That play fired me up.

If you like making quick decisions and seeing guys fly around the field give fast a try with TH on 35. It feels like NFL football to me

This Game needs to bring back the route based precision passing like they had in Madden 06 the game does play alot better but its still not better than APF 2k8's OL. D-Line interactions, CB & WR interactions, dynamic catches even the sideline catches and I dont understand why they haven't added physics to there game every other Ea sports title has physics there game just needs to be a little bit more dynamic as a whole displaying football fundamentals

What's with the audio? It sounds completely unbalanced. And no commentary?

The rosters are wrong (Cullen Jenkins on Green Bay, etc.), but I'm sure that'll be fixed.

However, the huge problem I encountered can be seen here: http://youtu.be/cEuae5sUXn4. An indisputable TD catch was ruled incomplete.
